    Daily sports car?

In the 70's, my neighbor across the street had 2 late-model C3's that I wasn't crazy about. But when I attended UofT, there was a white 70-72 convertible in the parking lot every day, year-round that I fell in love with - I couldn't put my finger on it at first, but then realized it was the side...

    Daily sports car?

I have my M3 with Hagerty. Only limitation is not to run errands with it, and not to drive to work regularly, but occasionally is fine. You can pay a surcharge to drive it as a daily. No mileage restrictions either - they told me they want us to drive our cars as much as we want.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Also, a longer socket (or using an extension) reduces the applied torque because of the addtional flex introduced. That's how torque-limiting sticks work (when calibraterd to your impact).

What did you do in your garage today..?

Same here, but the ID of those collets @Wingboy shared are the size of valve stems, whereas the shift arm control spring is huge by comparison. It freaked me out when I saw that stuck to my oil drain on one of my oil changes, but those who apprently knew better said not to worry about it. Bike...

    Normal car recommendation….

Odyclub wsa good resource for DIY on my 2001, presumably same for all years. My sliding door cable never broke, but the rollers disintegrated. Odyclub had a DIY using 50 cent plastic spacers from a hardware store, and removing the door was pretty easy by myself using a floor jack to act as a...

    Normal car recommendation….

The only car I ever bought brand new was our 2001 Odyssey. We had it for 12 years / almost 400,000 kms, so lots of life left in yours if you rustproof it (mine wasn't, and still didn't show any body rust by then). You'll never fully appreciate its practicality until it's gone. We thought the MDX...

What's going on with this tire?

    Yup, I completely missed that.

What's going on with this tire?

I agree with the rocket science part. But some people are oblivious to noticing something wrong (not saying OP, could have been anyone driving the car). Remember this guy?

What's going on with this tire?

To rule out a completely seized caliper, you should be able to just look at the wheel while some else drives up/down your driveway to make sure its spinning.

What's going on with this tire?

I still remember the first time I went on an out of town training course and had to rent a car. I think it was some econobox. Meanwhile one of the other students had a rental Miata and another a minivan, all automatics. One night after calss, we were all in the parking lot about to leave when...

What's going on with this tire?

Alignment should definitely be checked regularly, but even if it was wildly off (like after taking damage) uneven tire wear would be all the way around, not just localized.

What's going on with this tire?

Yeah, but if it's a locked up caliper, he's just going to end up with another tire like that on his way home. That's why I recomended spinning the wheel to rule that out - takes a minute if you can get someone else to drive it while you watch. A good shop should have checked while it was up on...

What's going on with this tire?

That was my first thought until people started talking about a broken belt/bulge. Hard to imagine someone not noticing a tire locked up long enough to wear down to the belts. That said, it would be in OP's best interest to rule that out by making sure the wheel is actually turning on the corner...

I'm guessing at that mileage, not much valve adjustment required? What was going on that's explained by the blockage? Oil leak or something else?

    Hypermotard V2

Depends on the year and model - later Evo models were lighter. I guess Google didn't factor in the change in weight measurement (dry/wet, no fuel), so about 15 lbs lighter than the lightest 1100 (not counting the NCR Leggera): 1100 = 395 dry 1100S = 390 dry 1100 Evo = 379 dry 1100 Evo S = 377 -...
