Road rage in GTA. Van rams motorcyclist.

As told by Mordecai Richler... Old bikers tell the best stories. Used to work with a guy (he'd be in his 70's now) that would regale us at lunchtime of his adventures to Baja in the late 60's on an old BSA. What a life he had.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

It was my understanding that the Volt would automatically burn fuel so as to prevent staleness. Is this user adjustable for time/distance?

Winter Tires ... where do you get them?

Agreed. I felt a noticeable decrease in snow traction and fun factor when I replaced my WS70's with X-Ice 3's. I'll be going back to Blizzaks, even though they wear like pencil erasers.

AWD vs. FWD ... in snow

Congrats on the Kona, it's a nice looking vehicle. Winter tires will make a world of difference.

    Heat shield for wire ideas

A pic would be helpful. If you're able to detach the wire I'd slide some silicone tubing over it. If not, then you can wrap it with adhesive-backed heat barrier.

Road rage in GTA. Van rams motorcyclist.

Never mess with a middle-aged guy in an old minivan, that's someone with nothing left to lose...

Road rage in GTA. Van rams motorcyclist.

Dangerous driver, foolish rider. It's called narcissistic injury. Makes people do really dangerous things, all for protecting their fragile ego. Used to be a bit like that, thankfully dissipates with age/wisdom.

AWD vs. FWD ... in snow

Dunno Sunny. I've always liked the WRX, but I've been called far worse...

AWD vs. FWD ... in snow

Slip'n'grip, electronic or viscous clutch-type AWD is garbage. Unless there's a centre differential it's a waste of space and weight. Unfortunately even Audi is getting away from that, thanks to consumers that can't or won't learn/notice the difference. Saying that I'll stick with AWD, can't...

    New computer first world problems

Miners are dumping their 1080ti's right now. Might be a good time to get one.

    Look at this entitled rider

Happy meal and a coffee takes 3 min to get, it's not like he's parked there to go see a Jays game. I think OP just hates the brand.

    Legalities regarding Full Exhaust

Not sure how people think it's street legal, you can slide a baton right through it. IIRC there needs to be a baffle in it to avoid a ticket. Depending on the model, Akrapovic makes different sized restrictors for the muffler. For my application they have two. They do not add a baffle, so an...

Lending my car to a friend to visit the US

No idea man, he got 172'd last year and she still let him drive. One of those girls that will never listen/learn so I stay out of it and don't ask. I'm sure I'll get the lowdown eventually through the missus.

    Look at this entitled rider

I don't know the area but if it's near a nightclub it will get the drunk chicks crawling all over it doing selfies.

    Look at this entitled rider

Meh, not the most egregious but I raised my eyebrow... Go to Barcelona, never seen anything like it in regards to sidewalk parking.

Lending my car to a friend to visit the US

I would never do it. Just the potential liabilities would be a nightmare, especially in an at-fault collision. My Niece went through this very thing. Lent the car to her boyfriend, he totalled it 15 min later by rear-ending a transit bus and her insurance had to cover the loss and vehicle...

Own Canadian marijuana stocks? Then you can't ride into the US.

Dispensary purchases listed on your credit card statement or a query into your investment portfolio could be a torpedo for crossing. A simple admission of trying it once 40 years ago would be enough. As for me, **** the USA, there's plenty to be seen and experienced in Canada and the rest of...
