So it's that time again....winter pasttimes?

I had zero experience in 3D modelling and this was my third project. I downloaded something like 5 different existing 3D patterns, mixed & matched, and modified them to get this result.

More than a few people have gone over to using 3D CAD programmes to design jewelry and printing the pieces with resin printers, for later casting. There's specific wax style resin to use for it in lost wax casting.

Wish that I could say the same. I could have retired, with full pension, 2 years ago but there's a little matter of enjoying to eat and have a residence.

I've done rather a lot of hats, for friends, most of whom are actors. Direct link below) https://www.morallyambiguous.net/multimedia/gallery/index.php/Leathery-Stuff

So it's that time again....winter pasttimes?

Got started a little early. Well, not actually, because I started it soon after finding out that I messed up the size of the last one that I made for Scott (a few months later). Just sent it off to Seattle. Then I quickly dashed off something that I'd been meaning to make for a while; a holster...

    TV shows currently watching

"Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" season 3, episode 7. Does anyone know who races a Honda CX500 or CX650 with the amateur plate 84? They film in Mississauga, so it was likely a local loaner for the episode. Shows up in Ortiz's room. Just curious, as I can't ever remember seeing that particular...

We are, however, on a Canadian Forum and talking about Ontario issues, for the most part ;)

The complaints that I most often hear about speed have to do with ridiculously low limits. A 30 Kmh limit is, in fact, ridiculous on a city street and is typically in place to protect cyclists and pedestrians from the consequences of their own actions, in my opinion. OK, Brampton is a bad...

Circumstances suggest that he took off from the scene. I can't find any reporting on the Hamilton Police website or Facebook about the original incident. Odds are that they knew who he was because he was the owner of the car found at the scene, and they just had to track him down. Reeks of, "My...

After causing a death? Not a citizen = likely a flight risk. Jailed until trial. We've had people in similar situations flee the country, before they could be made to pay for their crimes.

The vast majority of immigrants work harder and are more law abiding than born Canadians, or so say the statistics. Those who aren't haven't earned the right to stay here.

    Kawi 500cc Hybrid

I'm slower in the straights than I am in corners, generally speaking, on the street. Going in fast, trail braking, and accelerating through the apex is for the track, not the street ;)

Get to speed just before hitting the corner, let the suspension settle, then take it? ;)

I generally accelerate into corners. For example I would do 40-50 Kmh on Guelph Line north, in the 50 zone, coming into Campbelleville. I would accelerate to 80-90 into the S curve into town, then roll off the throttle to be at 50 again before the train tracks.
