    TPMS on snow tires?

How low is quite low? 4 psi drop is already a lot. I can pick up 4 psi on summer tires as turn in changes. On snows, traction is so variable that it's harder to feel the difference.

    TPMS on snow tires?

Some vehicles are pricks about reprogramming. There is no excuse for tpms not to be able to store 9 tires without needing to be reprogrammed. As for OP's question, my car has indirect tpms using wheel speed sensors so all tires automatically have tpms at zero cost. Not quite as precise and you...

    Cheap smart phone

My mom has that one. It's good enough. The camera is not as good as the flagships but the price is in a different world too.

Show up to pick up your kid(s) from school at over double the legal limit. Crash into another parents car that is parked. Flee the scene. 32 yo woman. That's going to make the rest of the school year awkward for that family...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Radiant heaters are awesome for that situation. Throw on a sweater/jacket to keep your core warm enough and use the radiant heater to keep you hands/grips warm without gloves. No need to wait for garage to warm up. The most annoying part is figuring out a mounting system to hold the radiant...

    COVID and the housing market

A house we looked at long ago in Holland Landing had a breakfast added as an addition to the back of the kitchen. Slope was more than 3" across 8'. I looked outside and as the addition had tipped away from the house, they filled the gap with sprayfoam and added metal flashing over to shield it...

Anyone riding on Rice Lake or know the schedule?

My mom isn't far away and got feet of snow last week. She doesn't care about ice racing so she is not a useful source of info for you.

Metal z bar and rigid foam. Similar to your idea.

    COVID and the housing market

People think you can make apartments by boarding over some doors. Sadly, obc rears it's ugly head and you need fire and noise rated partitions. In an already constructed house, that is an expensive proposition as you need to redo every partition between the new suites, get multiple inspections...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

The upside to something like the fiddly detail I showed is it's a lot of rectangles. You don't need to buy "trim".

    Help shopping for skis

Old slalom skis are salomon s/race sl 155 w 11m radius. I'm going to loosen the bindings a bit and use them to get better in moguls. I have them set pretty tight right now and fear for my knees in the bumps. New are fischer rc4 worldcup sc 165 w 12m radius. I think I would have preferred 13-14...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

If you take it off the wall, not all will survive R&R. Remove, plane, sand, reinstall will take a long time. I'd use this as an opportunity to upgrade the profile. Personally, I like window trim that has a visual base instead of just a mitred box.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

If the trim is a simple/flat profile, you could get the paint off. If it is detailed, the chance of removing all paint is close to zero. New trim will be much faster. Also, most house trim is craptastic. Redoing it let's you do it properly (coped inside corners, any wall less than a full stick...

    Help shopping for skis

I picked up a few pairs of new to me skis this week. They had been ridden hard and put away wet but they are mostly cleaned up. I knew my slalom skis were way too short for me but I wasn't willing to pay a small fortune for longer ones. I found a set at a decent price in the right length...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

I didn't say they couldn't last. If you skimp on maintenance and/or if you are payingnothers to maintain/repair, they can get expensive fast.

    Oil Spec for 2025 RAV4

Add to that very few motorcycles die from oil issues(if we dont count the models with endemic issues that kill them all regardless of maintenance). Most are sent to the grave by crashes or being abandoned.
