    EICMA 2025

I subscribed to Performance Bikes for years, pricey but worth it, I`ve still got the sheets of wacky stickers sealed in the bag, only the Brits could produce those loony things. That mag was nearly equal to the late, great Cycle magazine, especially thru the `70`s, I`m still hanging onto...

    Donating to charities

I throw some cash to my hospital, Sally Ann and some to the local animal shelter. Hell,...they`re all local, within a 5 minute drive. Always makes me wonder how much of a lot of charity gets skimmed for the organizers bank accounts. The shelter is a throw `N go, hang around and take the chance...

    November 11th

My Dad signed up for the Canadian army, underage in late `40. He fought in Italy and Holland. My Grandfather was at sea on freighters world wide, pre-WW2 and served on freighters sailing from Halifax to England for several years. He lost friends to the U-boat packs. He ended up training British...

    Motorcycle adventure riding books

I`ve no idea where you can find a copy, but, "Racer.. the Gary Nixon story". By Joe Scalzo I believe, I`ve had mine forever. I met Nixon and his tuner Erv Kanemoto at Mosport, probably `76 or so. He was on a TZ750, likely the OW31 variant. There that weekend also was Gene Romero aboard a TZ750...

    Prostate cancer update....

It`s the only way to go. I actually cancelled my first appointment for my prostate biopsy. I`d built up big anxiety and trepidation and bailed out. The thought of getting a needle/freezing up the hoop, followed by some little pickle grabber thing  taking tiny bites out of my prostate in a...

    Prostate cancer update....

That explains my puzzled look when they handed me the squeeze mustard. I got 4 blue dot tattoos, positioning markers, to ensure accuracy with the external beam radiation circular ray gun. One above my navel, another mid groin and one on each hip, line `em up and zap away. The treatment took...

    Prostate cancer update....

Well played. Prostate cancer is nothing to die of embarrassment about, lots of men just don`t want to do it. Ya gotta` wonder...we have x-rays, CT scans, MRI`s and Ultrasound yet the DRE is king.

    Prostate cancer update....

There`s lots of variables with prostate cancer. A percentage of men do die with it but not from it, mostly at a well advanced age. If it metastasizes, spreads to other parts of your body, as would have happened to me,....you`re in serious trouble. Get checked is right, like a .50 cal. machine...

    Prostate cancer update....

...had my annual sit down with my radiation oncologist last Monday at Durham Cancer Center/Lakeridge, bloodwork done 2 weeks prior. All is good five years on. I`ve mentioned I was diagnosed in Aug. of `20, had brachytherapy and 15 external beam radiation treatments a few months following...

    Not sure how i feel

Once Upon A Tyme, I was a young loon lusting after someone`s daughters. I oddly never rode as such with any passenger, the OP should be more concerned about an unwanted pregnancy IMO. 🙃 I did know a guy who was real close friends with another guys wife however. He crashed his 500 Kawi H1, late...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Checked over my 3 Honda blowers yesterday, no not that V-3 electric supercharged bike on the show circuit. A 520,720, and the big 724. Let`s hope this winter isn`t a repeat of last year, we got clobbered.

Probably cheaper to trade in the wife. ;)

    2026 Harley

Nope... the 500 is gone. I had it from new in`85 and sold it to a guy who was rabid for one in`18. It was very difficult for me to ride with my back, hips, knees and hand issues. I`m currently on a Z900 Kawi but am even finding it a little cramped, great bike though, serious grunt, light...

I like that truck, care to report on the ownership experience to date?

    2026 Harley

I`ve always liked the looks of the DesertX, elemental and basic purpose, Maybe `cause it reminds me of the great ole DT250 or XL250. How`s your owner experience with yours? BTW...see any articles and pics of the just out BMW F450 GS ? I think they`ve got a hit.

    2026 Harley

That`s for sure a `26 Heritage paint job. They have a sh*t ton of modern tech on them but retain the classic style, the average buyers age must be around 50+. I don`t know how they get away from the jam they`re in, I thought the Pan-Am series might have turned things somewhat but dealers have...

    Waterloo Warbirds open house

I know a woman who`s dad was a tail gunner in a Lancaster, balls of steel on those aircrew. I flew in the nose of the B17 "Sentimental Journey" a few years ago, out of Peterborough. Incredible...it was about 1/4 of the price of the Lanc. I`d say the B17 was the biggest contributor with the day...
