I thought so too. Maybe because they have some overnight frosts last week.
Heading up Hwy 11 it was mostly green all the way to the 118. Then as soon as we got off the 118, it was a really nice full colour display. Then up Kushog Lake Rd, Hwy 35 and into the park along the 60, it was lot's of...
Went for lunch at Wilno Tavern today and rode through Algonquin. The colours in the park are pretty much starting their peak. Was brilliantly vibrant!
Sorry no pics - was just riding all day:)
Depending on the shape of the tank, some bikes have a bit of gas on either the left or right lowers of the tank. So if you gently lean your bike over you can get the fuel from the full side to empty side. If your bike has a similar tank design, that will cover your 3km with tons to spare:)
Yes was on it a couple weeks ago and it's amazing. No gravel at all and paved the whole way through. Just a couple km at the south end which is older pavement, but the rest of it is either new asphalt this year or from last year. Flat out amazing shape right now.
I was just at Balalicious last weekend. It's a good joint.

if US is fine then Adirondack’s are also really nice and have amazing fall colours too.
The Gatineau region where I just was last weekend is really beautiful and tons of nice riding and places to stay.
Rather than start a new thread - reviving this one.
In 2025 and 2026 I traveled to other places and so NFLD is back on my radar for 2027.
Planning to do this over 18 days, sometime between Aug 14 - Sept 12, so that leaves about 2 weeks on the island.
I'm going with one other rider (on an...
Went for a scoot to check out a pizza place in a town called Katrine - the place is called Katrine's Pizza and it's located at the back of their general store. Took me 7 hours to get there, only to find they were unexpectedly closed today. So I got pierogi food truck instead from Burks Falls...
The roads around Mont Laurier were pretty good overall and I'd say it's worth it to go back to explore more of that area. Not sure how many more paved roads there are beyond what I did, as there seemed to be a lot of gravel sideroads. It's generally a pretty scenic area and there's also lots to...
