    Coffee

Those fancy coffee makers are convenient to use but a lot of work to properly clean. A friend bought a house with one similar. It took me a few hours to strip it, clean it and reassemble. In an annoying twist, there were a couple screws that required removing the machine from the wall to access...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Police were hunting for a dangerous driver in an Audi that was ****** that a santa clause parade was blocking his activities. The driver then drove down a pedestrian path and through the parade. Turns out that driver is a YRP cop. It doesn't sound like they turned themselves in. Loser. Based on...

    Coffee

Watch the overextracted piss that pumps out of a Keurig for the last half of each cup. If you're feeling brave, catch some of that swill in a clean cup and sample it. K-cups are way too small for the volume of water Keurig pumps through them.

    Coffee

Aeropress is a cheap (relatively), fast and easy intro to decent coffee at home by the cup. Much less muddy than french press. Pourover can be cheap to get into too but I prefer aeropress coffee personally. When trying to figure out dosing, start with online sources that provide weight of...

    Hydraulic Valve Trains

I'm guessing that terrible Honda engine in the 00's that was half a fit (or half a civic?) engine had hydraulic lifters. It was the worst bike engine I have ever ridden. Just as it's starts making above zero power you bang into the rev limiter. It was hateful.amd I couldn't wait to get off. I'm...

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

You don't need to wait through the painful breakin period before you can give it the beans and tear your arms off.

@mimico_polak is not going to like that. That's a lot of bike for not much money.

The "Official" Watch Thread and all Things Horological

I appreciate the effort that went into making something different. I prefer a watch I can read at a glance.

    Rogers Credit Card

I left rogers a year ago but 5 roam like home days are a nice bonus. They were priced competitively at the beginning but they are expensive now.

When you get to the butt, start again at the head?

    Dogs and other critters

I went to meet a lady once with about a dozen of them. She said they were well behaved. Walk through the gate and one latches onto my leg. It did let go quickly when she told it too. Much less painful than a German shepherd bite.

Has the city lost it's mind...

So is this about rider safety or Virtue signaling? Jamming a bike lane in beside narrower car lanes may be costly with no safety improvement over mixed traffic.

    Weather

There is no universal answer to that question. I enjoy more days of fun driving. I also have flexibility as to where and when I work most of the time. If you had to commute south everyday, I'd be questioning your sanity. That's far more due to traffic/crashes than weather (although weather adds...

    Smart watches

He is. If they really want $1000 watches, they can work enough to buy them.

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

They don't need to actively enforce it. Just leave it dangling and let the amnesty expire. As people die or interact with cops for any reason, they scoop up the guns. It helps nobody, it's just virtue signaling and theft but those are are the top priorities of our current government.

    Help shopping for skis

I would try a first time class like Malk suggested to see how they feel. If they are positive, march break ski school is a way to learn fast. Not that cheap but it is convenient. My kids would get lessons once a week when they were getting them but that's a lot of driving for you. If you bring...
