    Daily sports car?

Exactly. Assuming it wouldn't make you insolvent, 500k for an lfa would be an easy decision.

    Daily sports car?

A friend did a battery pack on an old S. 15k iirc. Brought the car back to close to new. While expensive, compared to a 15K car, it was miles nicer. The mmi on old tesla kills itself but aftermarket has found a way to deal with that. It should be perpetual warranty imo as that fault is purely a...

    Phone Scammers

My wife only answers numbers she knows. I will answer anything but am quick to hang up on stupidity. Too many important calls have come from numbers I don't recognize.

Also, if you already have one, why pay the huge delta to upgrade? How much is different between a new model S and one 15 years old? They seem to be eol'd more because of crashes than being beyond economical repair. So the early and mid adopters are satisfied, the late adopters (for the most...

    Daily sports car?

It would be counter to this thread but an easy way to increase range is to make the corolla of EV's. 75 hp electric motor would be faster than every ICE version (excluding GR). When was the last time we saw an EV with less than 200 hp? It's a cheap upgrade for manufacturers to make so I...

True but that doesn't stop Trump from meddling. He pardoned at least one of the guys doing emission deletes on diesels.

    Where to get a puppy?

We used to have a lab. We didn't feed it at the table. He was around but didn't beg. After he died, I looked under the table after dinner and there was most of a chicken breast on the floor. It turns out our young daughter had been firing most of her food under the table and the dog would eat...

    Where to get a puppy?

Damn, you guys have some spoiled puppers. I guess any bag is still cheaper than those that feed raw.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

In Canada, look for a check valve near your water meter. In many places in the US, they have a far more complicated double check valve with test ports and it's often located outside.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

My municipality installed check valves and expansion tanks a few years ago when they replaced water meters. I'm not sure what they pressure is supposed to be but I have measured up to 95 psi. I have a pressure regulator to install when I reconfigure the system (pressure regulator, filters...

    Brake fluids

When I change brake fluid, the fluid in the calipers often looks like crap. The fluid in the lines/reservoir is not visually much different than the new fluid. I miss the old days where blue fluid was available to use every other time and make purges brainless.

My furnace is the same. While I appreciate the furnace providing codes, the lazy product design that makes them as hard as possible to read is sad.

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

This is on douggie for passing a bad law to start with. The mea culpa published by the wanker mayors with a list of conditions speed cameras need to comply with was actually reasonable and should have been in the law from the start. I am surprised that no municipality declared their entire...

    Where to get a puppy?

Training pays off big time. We had a lab. People were surprised when we could leave snacks on the coffee table unattended with a lab around. He wouldn't touch them. I would have him lay down and put bacon on top of his paws and then I'd go to the bathroom. When I came back, 99/100 times the...

    Where to get a puppy?

Our dog responded well to a halti for walks. We'd leave a collar on him for id/easy handle if he needed to be restrained but add the Halti for walks. Before the halti, he got scared a few times and backed up so fast his collar popped off over his head. He'd paw at the halti a bit but he didn't...
