Track layout appears to have several corners that would not be motorcycle friendly. And there doesn't seem to be a paddock area. Just houses and corporate building
It does depend on the track some what, but Saturday and Sunday at Lombardy the rain didn't stop anyone from riding and at the speeds you are going, crashing doesn't usually hurt the rider or the bike.
Try and find someone else who is going that has some experience and ask them lots of questions. Shannonville has a good mix of corner types and is great for getting started.
