Got my M1, now deciding on a course

I'm sorry, are you hearing yourself? You are trying to correct my opinion? LOL please stop hijacking the thread, you are doing enough nasty work in private messages. Move on.

    New rider, new bike! =)

Thank you, you too! Ouch, sounds painful. But sounds like you were able to tame the Beast, though. :-)

Got my M1, now deciding on a course

That makes a lot of sense, the financial limitations. Unfortunately a lot of the real road stuff has to be learned first hand. In which case if a riding school's campus cannot accomodate real road scenarios, I suppose the best route is to practice on residential roads with a friend like I did...

Got my M1, now deciding on a course

Essentially the course is great at teaching necessary skills but I believe it could be even more benefical to include longer stretches of pavement to teach students without background knowledge of gear shifting. YOU don't have to agree with me. Now being able to do it with my own bike and...

Recommended Representation to Fight Parking Ticket

I'm not sure if this belongs here or classifieds? (Please move to where appropriate if not.) Does anyone have good recommendations for companies or individuals who can fight a parking ticket (similar to ex-copper). I've consulted a friend in law who says I am "golden" for a 11b argument, just...

Got my M1, now deciding on a course

My concern is mostly for someone who has never driven standard to practice shifting. 40km/h in a small parking lot is a very short period of time to accelerate and shift up to second and back down before having to turn (for a beginner anyway). Low speed manouvres are very important but I felt...

2013 Kawi Ninja 300 Steering Lock

I'm a new rider and am having trouble with my bike's steering lock. After parking, I can turn the key all the way to lock but can't remove the key. I have to turn the key back to OFF and then take it out. I've tried turning the wheel or leaving it straight before doing it but still no luck. Am...

Got my M1, now deciding on a course

I did mine at Learning Curves - the Honda Campus (Woodbine Bypass location). As a pp said, it is about 5 instructors to 20 students (pretty good compared to a friend of mine who did his with 50 other people). There is 1 bike per person (but no one has a bike to themselves. i.e. after a lesson...

    New rider, new bike! =)

I'm really glad I invested in the 2013 300 than an older 250. This bike is SO smooth and really helps me with the learning curve. Thanks!

Does your bike have a name?

I knew some people named their rides but didn't know it was common enough that I would be asked what I named her myself. Brings me to ask you riders if you named your bike (why and where did you get the name) or didn't bother? My 2013 Ninja 300 is Morrigan (after Capcom character).

    New rider, new bike! =)

Morrigan. I didn't know it was commonplace to name your bike though which was why I was surprised you asked haha.
