Who has the best BMW service department?

OK, that makes sense. I've only spent about 600 km on a WCGS, and although it had the shift assist I spent most of my spare time messing with the cruise and the dash display, so you're probably right.

Insurance For Track Days in the USA

CAA is probably the cheapest and has the best coverage, at least that's what I found when searching around. You can get a quote and purchase on line.

    Is it too early?

Richard, I'm not sure what "into motorcycles" means, but a prudent person would write the M1 and then do the M2 course on someone else's bike BEFORE committing funds to a bike, insurance and everything else. You may find that riding is not what you thought, and if the statistics mean anything...

Who has the best BMW service department?

Unless you've already ridden with the gear shift assist and know how it works, I would say it's a mistake NOT to order it. They include down shifting too with the 2015's I think? And even if you don't think it's that great, your resale value could really take a dive without it. Just my thoughts...

Who has the best BMW service department?

I have a set of sensors that are over 4 years old, still going strong. Maybe not the best choice for sportbike accessories, but for anyone doing any sort of mileage away from home with no other vehicle, they are a good idea. At least in my twisted opinion. If the $350 plus paint changes on...

Anyone have experience with shipping a car within Canada?

I've used TFX within Canada, did exactly what they promised, arrived on time at both ends. Would not even look for someone else if I needed their services again.

Best Toronto Motorcycle Show to Buy Gear At?

This is from the Arai website, but they quote the Snell foundation http://www.araiamericas.com/Arai_Wants.asp?Article=Arai_Wants/howwarrantieswork.asp If you're too lazy to click the link, Snell recommends that a helmet be replaced within five years from its date of first use, and no...

    Other uses of kerosene ?

I'd get an aerosol can of Krown from the dealer and spray the nice bits of my bike if I rode after the brine came out. Especially the rear shock linkage and stuff.

    Motorcycle painting auto body

Price drives everything unfortunately. Not until something bad happens ( they guy gets fired in the middle of the job, or loses one of your parts, or gets told off by the boss) will people realize that price isn't everything. The general public has very high expectations yet is not prepared to...

    Motorcycle painting auto body

I've seen this happen more than a few times in different industries. The manager of the shop can do whatever work he wants on the side for cash, the owner doesn't mind if he uses shop supplies to do the work, the "real" jobs absorb the cost. Not saying this is the case, don't know the guy or...

Best Toronto Motorcycle Show to Buy Gear At?

Usually older than that, if you're looking for helmets check the date of manufacture. I've seen new 5 year old helmets for sale. And of course the DOT helmets that are not really DOT. A good place to start would be the GP Bikes booth at the show, they usually have good stuff.

Seems Fast Bikes loves the Tuono

No I'm thinking of this article, I have a digital subscription, got it 3 days ago. The notes are at the end of the article when each contributor sums up.

Seems Fast Bikes loves the Tuono

Yeah they all liked the Tuono on the track but if you read the article they fought over the S1000R when it was time to ride home. I think for track I'd want the RSV4 not the Tuono anyway. I would have one but the dealer network is just, how can I say it, very skinny.

    Helmet openings

I've found the opposite to be true, unless you are buying cheaper and cheaper helmets. Shoei, Arai and AGV all have larger openings than in previous years.

Cant Start My Gixxer :( Help?

Not trying to be a smartass, but if you thought this through right at the start, and realized that the problem started right after you adjusted the clutch, look at the grief you would have saved yourself. But at least we (the forum) have all learned something, except for the guys that knew it...

    definition of running red light?

Rob hit it dead on. Ask any officer, if you accelerated when you saw the yellow then you get a ticket. Their theory (right or wrong) is that you could of used the brake instead of the gas. Better to coast through and beg for mercy. You are done, baked, cooked. There can be no good answer to...
