Guy was speeding for sure an obviously not giving himself enough room and being aware. In the end it was the riders own fault.

I'm looking for a GPS for my motorcycle rides.
Do you suggest i use my iPhone? If so, what is the best app for the use? I need something accurate, something i can download maps to phone and does Bluetooth, so it tells me turn by turn etc.
If not iPhone, which separate GPS do you suggest for a...
I am currently insuring two bikes with TD. You do get a discount when you insure more then one bike.
I think i'm getting about $200 or so off each bike on insurance.
Another thing to consider with a cruiser, is your body position. What works best for you?
I found traditional cruisers to be too wide for my legs in position and the position and length of the handlebars was not great for me. Neither was the weight and center of gravity.
The CTX700N had...
Too many people on bikes who haven't taken a course, too many new riders who ignore wearing the tight gear. Maybe in a prude, I'm ATTGATT and I stick to my license restrictions. I also don't ride when I don't fell comfortable or put myself in bad situations on the road.

Welcome. I'm also in miss. Got my m1 & m2 at age 39. Loving every minute of it and all the local bikers I've met, like roomie, Taleb and others. Many local group rides and meets.

BRain farts. Ahh, many of those myself. In the cage.:)
As long as you learn, it's what matters. I did a wide right turn once, thankfully it was on a side street and missed the car that was in that lane. I learned that lesson fast.
Thanks for all the input and suggestions. Will get out on the highway more when my cruiser windscreen shows up(all i got right now is a sliver of a windscreen) and will try it on the cbr650f when i'm comfortable to do it.

Rider: GWS, Get some real gear and take a course.
Paramedic: Thank you for doing a great job and posting your letter, it shows that you care, even if the rider did not.

Quite a bit of mistakes. Did you take a MSC course? You might wanna consider doing so, to learn the proper riding skills and general driving/riding etiquette.
I know people will harsh on me about this, follow the rules of the road. They are not there for ***** and giggles. There is enough...
My first cruiser is actually the Honda CTX700(T) model.
The Naked model is also nice, but I wanted fairings.
The naked model has a really low center of gravity. Has good speed and pickup.
I'd suggest this bike as a first cruiser myself.

I agree with the one poster.
Check your insurance.
500 for me was about $1,200 for the year. Then 650f $2,300 the year.
Find a criteria that matters to you and go from there.
For me it was "Comfort,cost,insurance,aesthetics"
