Good to hear your okay . . . if you had braked so hard that you lost control of your bike and it slid in to the car it would have been a different situation; The law is messed up that way. If you hit the car making the left while riding your in the clear. If you loose control b/c you get cut off...
Hey guys,
I am sick of seeing peoples bikes getting stolen one after the other and cops doing #$%^ all about it. I know their trying but this is getting to me.
Since I had my Daytona stolen I have been parking my bike at my moms house and driving my car back to my condo and im sick of it.
I...
I got stuck in this traffic jam shortly after the rider was hit going south on Jane, it was closed down in both directions. I had decided to take the car down town this day. Too close for comfort. RIP rider.
Chains are cut and alarms ignored/ disabled. If they want it they will take it. Having a self powered GPS/ wifi locator like IDLINK is a plus if you wants them found and prosecuted otherwise just make sure your insured. Even locators can be jammed with cheap cell / GPS jammers . . . . Theves are...
This is not the case. I actually had a detective call me for more details regarding my theft. Apparently motorcycle thefts have gone up dramatically and they have launched a new division to try to crack down on these #$%^ers
Really sorry to hear :( Same thing happened to my Daytona a few months ago . . . I feel your pain. You will loose out on your deductible $500 or $1000. . . . If you are with Stat-Farm they will treat you right and pay you out in about 20-30 days. Good luck with the process =/
I have been thinking the same thing. After owning a Daytona 675 and now my ZX6r as much as I love the bikes their not practical. The comfort factor is lacking and the power is going to get me in trouble with the road or the law one way or the other. I ride in all weather conditions and starting...
GPS tracking is useless . . . these are easy to get. Best thing is to chain and cover your bike and get something like an i900 so you get a page the sec someone gets around your bike. Prevent it from getting taken in the first place is your only options.
Do what I did. Tell them you feel it unsafe having your bike in a spot stand alone w/o your car blocking it in to prevent theft. As per the contract it states that they are not responsible for any damage or theft of your property. So you are doing what you can to prevent theft of your property...
Dont over think it, ride your own ride, take your time and just do it. Dont think that your gonna be king $%^& in a few years of riding, most people find it overwhelming and just give in and stop riding. Just stick with it and learn a little every day. Some would disagree but find a small group...
I had a Scorpio i900 installed on my daytona 675, they still took it. I would have taken their plate # down just in case. If they want to take it their going to take it dose not matter what you chain it to. Bers option is out of sight out of mind . . . Get a old cube van and park it inside ;P
I would say the Triumph Tiger is the perfect bike for you . . . Take a look and go take it for a spin, you will fall in love.
