Fully agree....adding to what Matt said, avoid abrupt gear changes, abrupt braking, abrupt acceleration/speed change.... unless you want to carve a donut... I would agree with others that if it's your new bike just be patient and wait for the summer. If you want to really take it out, take it...

Thanks D for the encouragement. However, the point that was earlier raised, reg. insurance would be an issue. God forbid if anything goes missing, I wouldn't want me (or the other buddies) to go through an issue where their insurance can't be claimed. I think I'll drop this idea :S
