I got a warm pair of gloves called Cramster Tundra back when I was in India. I have tested it in 4 degrees (feels like 1) and I must say that it keeps my fingers, palms, wrist, all nice and warm! Something you could check...
Yep, I changed my gear oil and coolant since I didn't know when was it last changed (bought the bike from someone earlier..)
Then rode to get get some premium fuel in and added stabiliser and rode back.
I want to put a new air filter, change the engine oil, and oil filter this weekend...
AMEN!!!Love the positivity bud.... I really hope to change the engine oil and get that one final ride before I store (better perhaps....don't put it in storage at all..haah)
My bad D....Fully agree with you! I missed the section where he said he was a newB. In that case, don't risk it bro.... you have the whole summer to ride. Store it neatly and read tons of material about your motorbike. This will help cometh summer
Fully agree....adding to what Matt said, avoid abrupt gear changes, abrupt braking, abrupt acceleration/speed change.... unless you want to carve a donut...
I would agree with others that if it's your new bike just be patient and wait for the summer. If you want to really take it out, take it...
I'm in with this.... Either snow falls or they salt the streets, whichever comes first!
Having said that, does anyone know when do they salt the streets in downtown Toronto/GTA area?
That my friend is business strategy. Some businesses bring in the freight costs into the cost of goods sold and indirectly into the pricing. Others pass it onto the customer....
My point was not only about size. It was mainly about the reality of freight costs - if you don't see them that does...
Sorry, I beg to differ. It's the size of items. In a truck you can only load a certain number of bikes. On the same truck you can load a ton of bag of milk - in this case the freight costs are part of the pricing method. For a couch (e.g for Ikea), they request the buyer to pay around $140 (from...
Thanks for the references buds...it was super helpful. I spoke to Andy but he suggested that I come back to him after a year. Since, I am a new rider in Canada, his rates were higher than Rideplus and even statefarms. Statefarm suggested that I could show my international insurance history for...
aaaand my bulb really didn't light up on that one....my bad! haha
The current situation is - I have rented it out to a guy living in the same set of condos. He has a car and was cool to let me park my bike behind the car (towards the wall, or by the side)
Boom! done...
Having said that, this...
Well, your comment doesn't make sense but whatever... You're from the city where my alma mater is.....say Hi to the roads upto Whistler for me, will you.
I was not really thinking of this as a long term arrangement. Something merely over winters, i.e. December up until April end where bikers...
Thanks D for the encouragement.
However, the point that was earlier raised, reg. insurance would be an issue. God forbid if anything goes missing, I wouldn't want me (or the other buddies) to go through an issue where their insurance can't be claimed. I think I'll drop this idea :S
They could very well be trying to be nice with that gesture. However, i saw other people park their car and bikes too.
Regarding insurance, I'm sorry I'm not completely aware how it would work. How would it be different that us getting the bikes into a storage unit or with other dealer? Is...
I had a word with the management and they said that as long as it doesn't cause any inconvenience to others you should be fine. However, if they get any kind of complaint, I'd need to get another spot.
Hi friends,
I live in downtown and I am renting a huge parking spot in my building. The spot previously had a car and my motorbike, but now that I have sold my car....there is a huge space which can fit 2 motorcycles comfortably.
I was wondering if anyone lives in downtown Toronto and want to...
