Yup, I agree. In the beginning when it was introduced, I was super skeptical of it. I tried once and I "felt" the rides got smoother and the tire pressure stayed intact for a much longer time - I remember visiting pumps once in 1.5/2 months. It could be placebo or whatever...But, with riding...
A rule about RE, perhaps tell your friend about it - Always carry 2-3 chain links and sprockets when you ride :)
Now, back to the original thread:
If you're still in India I don't think you'd want to do it yourself. You might as well get a RE mechanic to look at that and get the things fixed...
Welcome to Toronto! I moved here from Vancouver 2 years ago and I love it here... *No intention to start a TO versus Van debate*
For insurance, try calling Riderplus. Their rates are really good but there could be divided opinion on the forum.
Can you not buy it and ship it to a friend in US? That's what I'm doing with my shopping in the US. I have a buddy who lives in Philadelphia and I'll ship it to his place and will ride to him in the summer....
The other option is to ship it to a border store (I use kinek) in US-Niagara. They...
Was fun riding today actually! A bit cold but the layering helped :)
I had to get an oil filter wrench so went to Town Moto in downtown but since they didn't have the right size, I rode to Snow city in Scarborough and back home in downtown. The traffic was smooth on the DVP and Gardiner (except...
Attaboy @I82l8
I really wanted to do that but living and working in downtown makes it super tough to get out on the bike. I am planning to get it out this evening though. Hopefully, it rains a bit more and dries out.... *prayinghard* :angel3:
@inreb - yup yup, both before and after should be...
Yup, that's the thread I started. I spoke to the building management and they suggested that the car and bike is fine if they stay within the boundaries (yellow line) of the parking space.
And that did burst my bubble.... haha
Now, I'm thinking on the lines of putting chains on the tires. I'm assuming that might not be legal too but I'll keep researching.
I just got a great deal on motorcyclecloseouts in the US. Got the stuff shipped to a kinek border store and picked it up from there. Even paying for car, customs, etc...it was $150 cheaper than what I could buy in Canada. I got 2 Scorpion exo 500 helmets for me and my gf, a jacket and a pair of...
These are ice tires, but I am getting an idea :P
Can we use the old tires (of which is treads are not too deep, maybe 4mm treads left) and drill holes and put shorter screws on them (such that are road friendly). I wonder if that could work! These ones wouldn't be road friendly in my opinion...
Yup, I have got a Motomaster Eliminator. Got it for $23 on a sale in Canadian Tire last month....haha :)
Now, I'm just trying to hack through my building's power supply in my underground parking to hook the tender. There has to be a way to get a power cable connect in there... If that fails...
I thought about the split idea for an underground parking in downtown Toronto and had posted it here last month. Apparently, a lot of people suggested that there could be insurance complications and I ended up renting out the parking to a lady at work who uses it during work hours from Mon to...
I agree with @clutch
It has certainly picked up in recent days and the issue will certainly come again in case it dies down now. Having said that, what I have seen being practices elsewhere is the scooters and motorcycles don't have to pay toll. Also, I have seen them in geographies where two...
