Sounds like the typical poor service we Canadians have learned to live with and accept. Pathetic. The OP clearly stated the damage was under the clear coat. It's not the least bit surprising that a photo cannot show the damage. A camera is not at all like the human eye. The right thing to...
The fact that you had 4 tires previously with more than double the mileage leads me to believe there was something wrong with this tire. Maybe its worth saving the tire and writing a letter of complaint to Michelin? You never know, maybe they will give you a new tire. Only 7kkm on a P4 is absurd.
To go without a motorcycle helmet in Ontario, a rider or passenger must:
Be of the Sikh religion
Regularly wear a turban composed of five or more square meters of cloth
Be 18 years old or older
Have unshorn hair
The law doesn't specify where the unshorn hair must be? Do legs and armpits...
I believe the insurance industry has insulated themselves from long term costs. So this may not matter to them. But it does make me think of another point. The chances of a lifelong brain injury must be far greater when you hit your head with no helmet. I am sure there are plenty on this...
I bet our insurance premiums rise next year as a result of this exemption. The actuaries in the insurance industry will be all over this as a valid excuse to increase rates. Riding without a helmet increases the risk of a fatality. Someones insurance will be pay out when there is a fatality.
I once voted in a federal election with flip up face helmet on. I showed my ID, and of course I had the card they send in the mail with your polling station. They told me I couldn't vote. It was against the law. I said its no different than a Niquab, which some women of a certain religious...
Its always a buyers market. The demographics for motorcycling has been on a downward spiral you years. As we age and stop riding, there are less and less young folks taking our place.
The cp24 report did state that the child ran out into the road. The rider may not have had any chance to avoid the collision. That being said, why run? As someone else pointed out, the most logical reason to run is alcohol.
I don't think so. All fuel regardless of octane rating ignites a few degrees prior to the piston reaching Top dead center when the spark plug fires as determined by the ignition timing. If the fuel ignites prior to the spark plug firing, you have a problem. When a gas is compressed, as it is...
It's called surging. It feels like the engine hunting for the right RPM and can't seem to find it and settle down. Its caused by the extremely lean fuel settings required to meet emissions requirements. It wasn't unusual the BMW R1100/ R1150 series motorcycles. My own R1150RS ran fine, but...
Hey, you forgot to finish the ride! From Port Hope continue on to Lakeshore road and end at Bond head. I must have done this ride a thousand times. And it works just as well in the opposite direction. Don't forget to wave at the guy on the Lupin Blue R1200RS.
Regional road 57 From Caesaria to the Wolf Run golf course has 6 curves. Don't tell anyone, it's a secret. We don't want it to get over crowded with bikes on the weekend. It's Durham regions version of the dragon.
Been there. Let be honest here, these roads wouldn't even be noticeable in Virginia. Just as one example, check out State route 16 in Virginia between Talisman and Marion. It passes over two mountain ranges and it has more switchbacks and tighter curves than every road in the entire province...
I recently picked up a new bike, and yes, not surprising the seat sucks. On previous bikes I had aftermarkets seats. I had picked up a used Corbin for my R80RT, and it worked well. For my R1150RS I sent it to Rick Mayer to be reshaped. That also worked well, but he is no longer in business...
Trail braking is effective on the track, and perhaps in West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, or other mountain states where they have many curvy wonderful roads. But here in Ontario where will you use it. On the 401 on and off ramps! Forks of the credit! LOL.
Yes it is perfectly normal. Most stock seats are cheaply made and have been designed to enhance the appearance of the bike while on the showroom floor. It's about sales, comfort is not a criteria. When shopping for a new bike, no one bases their decision on the comfort of the seat. Nor do...
“I’m pretty sure … drivers would be more than happy to know that the majority of motorcycles are going to be in the far left lane, the HOV lane, as opposed to being in your blindside by accident.”
This is pretty wishful thinking by the Minister. Most cage drivers in Ontario couldn't care less...
