    GTAM Great Big Giveaway!

No. Just tank museum. There was a ton to see there and I can only keep the kid engaged for so long before they check out. As it was, door to door was 9 hours.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

I was thinking door as kids are getting older and MP likes to play video games occasionally. It's nice to be able to close off basement for noise as well as visual.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

What is happening behind the vase? Is that a knee wall? For lots of reasons I would put a conventional door hinged near your target. Depending on what is happening behind the vase and that furniture, the door could open all the way and be almost flush against the wall or you could leave it in...

Getting closer to wheelie weather (for those with underpowered bikes).

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

On a related note, most alloys want ball nuts and most steelies want cones. Crap shops will say you don't need proper nuts but f that.

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

On a related note, Canadian Tank Museum had some interesting firearms that you were allowed to touch. C7, Uzi, AK47 and a handful more. I expected the C7 to be heavier and the Uzi to be much lighter (and the grip was huge). They didn't want people to manipulate the guns in any way and it was...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I used to buy everything from them. I am too far away now. They also used to rebuild power tool batteries with new cells (and higher capacity if you wanted). I don't know if they still do that.

AGM would be close to $100 more so if he wants AGM, his price is probably correct.

    its here....

Light enough shell and enough impulse from a jet and it can do things. I won't be surprised if they used something heavier than air for the demo yo increase impulse. Takeoff and final landing get the benefit of jet hitting the beautiful smooth surface with side skirts down so the pressure acts...

Charging lead acid batteries in the house?

Normally to get a battery to explode like that, you need a dead short. Makes sparks, heat and hydrogen all at the same time. I've seen people do that with an accidental wrench across terminals.

No countries will permit such stupidity. Using it won't be much different than indiscriminately blasting a shotgun behind you (dangerous jet will also pick up road debris and blast it everywhere). It will be like nitrous for closed-course only and if they catch you with the tanks full, they will...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

You can do a plane at a time, you just have to be careful with the details and gable roofs are easier than hip roofs to split up. You don't want underlay and shingles to all end at the hip as that makes a weak spot for water. When the guys did my roof I think they were most of two weeks as they...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

As long as wheels clear the brakes and the offset isn't ridiculous, steel or alloy is a personal preference. Steel is uglier (especially a few years later) but survives impacts better. I used to run snows on steelies but lately just buy alloys with snows from people that have sold their cars...

    Stolen bike registry

Really? A DRZ again? wth. Normally those don't get stolen. You have terrible luck (and condos suck).

What did you do in your garage today..?

Why is the battery so expensive? I just had an interesting battery failure in my car. Voltage tested fine and most of the time it worked perfectly and load tested perfectly. Occasionally, it would fall flat on it's face and not even have enough power to power the computer yet alone crank. I...

2027 Versys 900 SE LT ABS : woah!!

The tech is reasonably cheap to add these days and gives people a reason to buy new bikes over most bikes in the used pool. It also generates perpetual parts sales as when tech goes bad/gets damaged, normally there aren't aftermarket repair options. I doubt we will see a stripped version as it...

    its here....

The volume and pressure of air required would be really hard to store yet alone create (compressing air is horribly inefficient). If the videos actually happened, I suspect the battery was not in the car and it was all compressed gas tanks. Like movie cars or Nikola motors, don't let reality get...
