What's going on with this tire?

Vastly different experience from yours but I'm in the GTA. In heavy snow they have been extremely good. Stopping distance and surefooted handling have been great in slippery conditions and ice too.

What's going on with this tire?

Long read...buckle in. Hopefully you isolate the root cause. It shouldn't be that hard to source. You said it was on the winter tire that was taken off last year and not noticed until now. What kind of shape are your warm weather tires in? I'm assuming they are ok or there would have been...

What's going on with this tire?

I would have to think the ride with that tire would have presented with some wobble or noise. Anyway, yeah it's shot. Before you replace the tire, can I ask what kind of car and if you have AWD.

    Considering a second bike

Saw an RnineT on marketplace close by. Sat on it and if feels right. The difference in weight between the R1200RT and the RnineT is substantial even if it was just in the driveway. I think the seller is being cheeky with their asking and the first thing out after hello was my price is firm...

You would have a better chance of seeing me with Scarlett Johansson than finding me on a highway.

    Considering a second bike

I know. It's the ease of the boxer that I am already familiar with. I also like the final drive not being a chain or belt. This is just the beginning of this dance and those light, naked bikes are looking better the more I dig in.

Thanks, I had a moment to research the Scrambler and I think I'm scratching it off the list.

Just a seat time machine. Couple of hours of freedom and exploration. If I wanted to tour, I have the RT.

    Considering a second bike

Not really my thing, at least right now. A year ago I wouldn't have been interested in a streetfighter.

    Considering a second bike

I have been looking to add another bike to the garage. My current bike, and I love it and intend to keep it, is the BMW R1200RT. As much as I love it, there are days I just want to go out and enjoy something that is lighter and more flickable. I am all over the place and at this point can...

    What's your time worth?

I haven't read every post so forgive me if there is a duplication here. What angers me more is that the "we are experiencing a higher volume of calls" message is followed by encouragement to use their "convenient" online AI service. It is seldom that I will get through to customer service...

Just thinking out loud here. Did you check the air intake, air filter or exhaust? Mouse nest?

    Go to automotive cleaning products.

Just when I seem to need it. I literally clean the interior weekly so I don't use the leather conditioner frequently. Maybe twice a year.

    Go to automotive cleaning products.

Me too. I spent 3 hours just paint correcting the hood last week. Disappointed with the result but far better than it was. Could have spent the day going at it but other responsibilities needed attention.
