Same! Mine are like ten years old, they came with two sets, so once I switched to custom made ear plugs, I gave these to the missus to use. She uses them on our rides across Italy and also finds them really comfortable. I don't even have to remind her to pack them, they're just part of her...
If planned obsolescence was really part of the BMW engineering philosophy, whoever designed the funuro 650cc/F650GS single/G650GS single that they made for a quarter century was surely fired, and then re-hired just so they could fire him again to get out of paying him severance.
Fortnine just...
Or a sign that they owe money to the manufacturers and can't offer warranty work anymore because the manufacturer won't refund the dealer until the dealer is all paid up.
I'm not suggesting that is the case, but I know when a GTA dealer was closing a few years ago I couldn't get them to order...
This. Along with what @Scuba Steve wrote.
Talk to your insurance company to see what they have to say. If your garage is detached like mine you're ok for by-law. But okay for by-law doesn't mean your insurance won't be looking for a cop out not to pay out of there's a fire so talk to them...
After working in marketing in the motorcycle industry I have seen too much of how Inside Motorcycles operates to trust anything they write about any bike.
I don't know if it's the same people in charge now, but back in 2011-2014, Ad spend = positive reviews for sale over there.
100%. Location and use is so, so important. I love both of my G650GS, but I hate being a BMW owner. If I wasn't doing all my long distance riding specifically in Europe, I would've gone Japanese too.
BUT
This summer on my third ride across Italy, I lost all power on the highway (later found...
A trip that size and that remote is all the more reason to get something where international dealer supply chain is strong and plentiful, like Honda. Not sketchy and haphazard like Royal Enfield.
I saw your reply to me a couple posts above. I asked why, of all the wonderful motorcycles, from...
Any 650cc single enduro, dual sport, and/or ADV bike from a reputable brand is everything you need. I go German for my travels, but, there are so many options available from so many great brands👌🏻
She seems to really be going for tv show length episodes. I'll watch a few episodes here and there if she's somewhere I'm interested in. Hopefully the book is better. I assume it will be as it'll have professional editors and won't be worried about playing to youtube's algorithm. Might be a case...
With all of the great manufacturers out there, and all of the great models out there, and all of the kilometers that you ride, why do you want a Royal Enfield?!
I can't speak much to the Himalayan, other than it's the only motorcycle that has ever had parts break off of it during it's own...
Mine would start just fine in the cold, but freeze along the way home sometimes.
If anything, the more common starting issue was if I forgot to cover the bike the night before, I sometimes needed to hit the ignition key switch with a blow dryer for a while to unfreeze it.
Interesting. Would the fact what I was on were scooters, using CVT transmissions, and auto chokes (or auto not enough chokes), basically the same setup as the Navi I think, make any difference?
"I smoke weed but I don't want my kids to smoke weed."
"I don't work out but I want my kids to be healthy."
"I ride motorcycles but I don't want my kids to ride motorcycles."
"I want to be happy, but I don't want my kids doing things that make me happy."
I thought that was just my OCD that had me thinking "WTF is this man doing??" Maybe the camera angle gave us a better view than he had. Or Maybe he downed a six pack before getting started on the 2-4 lol
