Good starting point for the ride, but very short ride over to Port Hope. Head north after and enjoy the roads south of Rice Lake.

Keep them separate, most hikes, unless muddy or snow covered can be handled in a good pair of running shoes which can easily be packed. I have covered a few kilometre hikes in my BMW Allroound touring boots, but would not attempt in my sport/track boots.

Scenic is awesome and simple to use for trip and detailed routes. If have an iPhone. But for simple navigation around town etc. Google maps is hard to beat especially if used with your Bluetooth communicator so you can listen to instructions.

They have worked because I am definitely driving slower in the city after receiving a $94 ticket. I basically stick to the limit in the sensitive zones. Ironically, I had lectured my sons about the speeding cameras and was the first one to get tickets. Nice photo of my bike too. :)

In 2011 I had a tough time getting $3300 for a 2002 FZ1 in almost mint condition with 60,000 kms. At the same time people were getting more for an SV650. It all depends on what is in demand and the FZ1 was not a starter bike so limited demand at the time.

They must be making a $ killing on O’Connor between Coxwell and Don Mills because despite a safety zone, have seen people doing incredible speeds there.
