    Can’t Leave Well Enough Alone

Can’t decide on auxiliary lights. I’ve got engine guards with a place to mount them. Do I get one or a pair? Do I really need them or is it just for looks? It’s getting dark sooner and would be nice to have. Which reminds me, maybe I should upgrade the headlight…….. As I type this, my...

    Can’t Leave Well Enough Alone

I do need heated grips. But, I should make sure they are compatible with a throttle lock. I’m not sure if these gloves will do the job. I better be smart and plan ahead and get those heated jobs. But, I just ordered heated grips. Well those work nicely when you didn’t expect the cold...

    Can’t Leave Well Enough Alone

Doesn’t matter what bike I add to the stable, I’ve got to “make it better”. It’s near the end of the season for many of us. I know there are year rounders etc. For me, I’m doing little things to keep comfortable during cooler temps. Installed a windshield which does a great job at highway...

    Getting old sucks

I was telling my wife about this old man I met on the way into the gym and said he really is in good shape for his age. My wife smiled and responded, that old guy is younger than you. 🤦‍♂️ nice reality check.

    Indian motorcycles sold

Indian is falling into the HD trap. Tweak or refresh the model line up with visual changes and bump the sticker. They have nice stuff so it works for a bit. But, they don’t have much diversity in products. You can find “entry” level machines and move up through the range but, you need to...

    Considering a second bike

A little curve ball to consider would be a Triumph Street Triple 765 in the 2015 range. Likely just as rare to find a clean example vs a Duc Monster but, definitely a nice flickable, knock around the garage second machine to play with. Arguable less appealing that a Duc with the bug eyes but...

    Daily sports car?

I’m not ready to rock the white new balance trainers and Fanny pack to complement the Corvette experience. 😆 not yet anyways! Honestly, I drove my aunt’s 92 ZR1 and found it a riot. I still keep an eye open for a clean example that won’t break the bank.

    Daily sports car?

I must say that I’m always on the look out for a decent F Type or Lotus Sport Elise version with Toyota power plant and Yamaha design VVT. A modern go kart. The Lotus I would call a Daily Sport Car but, wouldn’t drive it in the winter. The Jag, I might be tempted to year round it? 🤷‍♂️

    Daily sports car?

Eh, all this talk of British cars, I’m very familiar with them and several owners. They are more of a hobby and they really don’t get much sport driving as much as parading around country roads and looking for ice cream places to stop at. A friend has a Morris Traveller (Woody) that gets more...

    Where's Wingboy?

The Five Fishermen in Halifax is a great place to enjoy seafood and beverages. It’s downtown Halifax. There is typically something going on in Halifax throughout the year. The drive to Peggy’s Cove itself is quite nice and the stop to take in the lighthouse is worth it. You’ll be tempted to...

What's the weakest link in stopping you from riding longer?

Just back from Gananoque and Westport and the fall colours and roads were delightful! Westporch was fun this year with an appearance from Paul Langlois for a few songs. As for what is my weak point, it’s simply mental. If the weather is crap and cold and it sucks, I’m not having a good...

Has the city lost it's mind...

Regarding troubled youth, I’m one of the few that made it through. I was in and out of detention centres and foster care etc. I was angry at the world and the social circles I was around encouraged lawlessness. There was some lovely foster parents that helped me along with some counselling...

My Harley is dumb and fun to ride... Just like your mom.

I picked up the one DT - 2012 T100 with the 865 air cooled. It was a one owner bike and pretty clean. Put new rubber and front rotor on it and it’s been the bees knees for me. I wouldn't want to hummm along on the 400 series for more than an hour or so. Otherwise the flat seat and zipping...

My Harley is dumb and fun to ride... Just like your mom.

Absolutely. “One of” or for a few really dumb riders like myself, maybe even twice to be sure? 🤷‍♂️ I returned to a Sportster with a 1200R version with twin discs that didn’t feel or do any better. 😆 Also went down the rabbit hole of accessories to make it better. Suspension, comfort...

My Harley is dumb and fun to ride... Just like your mom.

@adri much of the same thing for me buying a Sporty. I was actually looking for a Bonneville but, the cost was too much and found a classic 1200 Sportster with drag bars and forward controls. Learned to do maintenance on it with some help from seasoned riders and updates like seat...

If you insist on stunt driving/riding, at least don't give the cops any more to humiliate you with

It’s a thankless job. We see it every day. They deal with it every day. They never seem to see the offender we just saw doing stupid stuff and we get pulled over for something minor in our opinion and might even have a bit of an attitude when it happens. I get social feeds of Karen’s or...
