    E bikes rampaging Toronto streets

There was a movie shoot around the corner with paid duty cops manning the barricades. I got into a conversation with one of them and he told me the cops don't even know the laws. It never comes up in briefings.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

My next project is an overgrown cedar hedge. I could hack it back and hope for it to grow out green of pay an arm and a leg for all new. The neighbour on the other side will have a bit of input consideration. I'll give him a day or two to think about it now that his new roof is finished.

It was pre-Trump and pre covid. If you pick your routes the fun starts just south of Buffalo. Don't be afraid of the New York State Thruway. It was stupid cheap compared to our 407 Expensive Toll Route

536 from Hannibal to Woodsfield. If you look at a map there seems to be a lot more. The triple nickel wasn't IMO that great but suit yourself. Eastern Ohio abuts Pennsylvania so shares a lot of terrain features. Western Ohio is the ugly sister. Coshocton is interesting history and biker...

    Getting old sucks

Along with the physical aches and pains, one's senior years also take a mental toll. There are predators that prey on the aging. My neighbourhood has a lot of seniors, some widows and widowers and they are vulnerable to what I call rooftoppers. They see an elderly homeowner and the come on is...

Forks of The Credit Speed Camera

When I got back into riding a couple of decades ago I kept hearing about Snake Road. When I rode it on my Sportster I wondered if I was on the wrong Snake Road. FOTC is some nice scenery with one hairpin. Take out the hairpin and it's just nice scenery. If you want to work the bars while...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

More and more I trust systems more than I trust someone to get things right. Seams are dependent on perfect workmanship and too many people have bad days. Somehow a tradesperson is expected to work faster without affecting quality. The need to put profit ahead of quality reigns.

Carpenter ants only eat decaying wood unlike termites that eat the good stuff. The occasional scout can be seen even around good wood. A friend in Quebec has had her house up for sale for over six months and finally had an offer. The inspector found a bit of rot over one window and nixed the...

    Getting old sucks

A friend used to race outboards and we’d count the skips before an arm or leg dug in like a sea anchor. Then the hurt started.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I was cleaning up the office and came across a Lithium power pack that hasn't been used in years and I noticed it was starting to swell. I put it out on the concrete patio until it makes its way to hazardous waste. Where is mill run accountability on the battery market? Tesla doesn't seem to...

A neighbour commented about not seeing the critters around the stream for a while. I haven't seen any either so maybe they've eaten all the pets and slow racoons and moved on.
