What did you do in your garage today..?

I like the garbage liner idea. "the best plan is the simplest one that works"

What's the one thing you always forget or wish you'd brought on long trip on 2 wheels?

Agreed. I like to roll the cuff down over my eyes to block out light and let me sleep a bit later.

What size of bike for 2 up ?

I had to buy some too - after I bought a replacement rear hub. I didn't know about the special grease and cooked it.

What size of bike for 2 up ?

Pretty much the same can be said of older Gold Wings. The 4 cylinders are stupid cheap.

    Oil extractor

Exactly. I think the only time I changed it was when the mower went under water during a backyard flood.

What size of bike for 2 up ?

Yes exactly. Any bike that won't haul your *** in top gear needs to be replaced.

What size of bike for 2 up ?

Because it's a horrible idea. If a bike doesn't have the nuts to pull you in top gear what is the point.

    Anyone used Bruce&Shark?

Yeah for $30 you just know it's of the highest quality. I cleaned the orig and now it's working fine. It was very easy to get apart and clean. No bits of spring loaded brass to look for.

What did you do in your garage today..?

As long as the bottom of the engine is relativly flat you can lift on it. I generally place a piece of plywood between motor and jack.

    Any fish /pond people??

I think here in town I needed a fence if it was more than 18" deep. Then it's the same as a pool. That said the town is full of non fenced water retention ponds. Go figure.

    Anyone used Bruce&Shark?

Yeah I was reading reviews and not impressed. I will try to revive the original first.

What size of bike for 2 up ?

I tell people you never have to wait for someone who's riding pillion. I hope he's joking.

What size of bike for 2 up ?

My sister and BIL toured 2up on an 800Vulcan. Neither one of them is small - likely 400pounds combined.

    Trailer question

If it's only for the back forty I could weld the shackle back on. Getting back home empty would be fine.

    Anyone used Bruce&Shark?

KLR needs and ignition switch and new gas cap. These guys are almost too good to be true. A few reviews later and I think I'm right. Anyone had good experiences?

    Trailer question

Agreed, but it's better than when I hauled a trailer with Toyota Echo or Yaris. With a goldwing behind the echo braking was iffy.

    Trailer question

I'm looking into a new trailer. 5x7 utility. I've noticed some have the wheel near the the mid point of the box and some noticably much closer to the rear. (see pic) Should I be concerned too much tongue weight with something like this one shown? I'm pulling with a Matrix that has a 200lb tongue...

    Any fish /pond people??

It's about 3 feet in the deep end. Overwintering has never been a problem before going back over 20 years.
