These speed limit reductions are getting out of hand

Now that speed cameras are off the table, there is no compelling reason (cough, money) to lower the speed limits more. It is strange how closely speed limits and income are correlated. As for the stop signs installed near Relax, that's a crock of (*&(*&. Stop signs are not allowed to be used...

Friday Sept 5 Come one Come all

If the valves aren't floating, you still have more revs available. It would be interesting to see a plot from something like draggy (or any other high refresh rate GPS logger). Sometimes you can see places where you should have held longer or switched earlier.

Post up your liquor/spirit talk ?

Fancy stuff has auctions. Cheaper stuff normally ends up with friends/family or down the drain.

Post up your liquor/spirit talk ?

I had some gin that I had no love for (willibald). Muddled in some rosemary, added fresh lemon and topped with pepper. Now it's fine but f me does it ever hit hard.

    Daily sports car?

Weight, tires and suspension. 2000 hp in a fat vehicle or one with crap suspension can be destroyed by a stock civic.

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

She's asking more for it that she has in it too. Works at Honda so she gets a decent employee discount.

Probably a few containers of chinesium with some used branded parts sprinkled in. Like salting a rock sample for a gold mine.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Tesla releases mad max mode for when you want fsd to ignore laws. How could that go wrong? Higher speeds and more frequent lane changes than hurry. A 172 charge in fsd would be funny. https://electrek.co/2025/10/16/tesla-mad-max-full-self-driving-mode-ignores-speed-limits/

    Where to get a puppy?

We bought our last dog (a lab mutt) for $150. He lasted about 10.5 years and cost $21k, more than half of that after six years. I thought that was insane and my wife thought it was a great use of money. So far I have held off on getting another as that's bleeping insane. My wife likes bigger...

    Daily sports car?

Sadly it's a steaming pile. 9 seconds to 60 is not a sports car. It is slower than a base corolla. Barf. https://www.carscoops.com/2025/10/shocker-hondas-new-prelude-is-heavy-and-slow/

    Where to get a puppy?

Most of the legit dog rescue/adoption places are in that price range although that often includes spay/neuter.

    Indian motorcycles sold

Like funeral homes, many of these consolidations leave the respected name on the outside but behind the curtain, work to build an obscenely profitable monopoly/duopoly.

    COVID and the housing market

Yup. Waterfront house sells at something like a 30% premium to a similar house one row back but on water taxes are something like 4-5x. It's insane. Some of the waterfront houses were over $40K in property tax almost a decade ago.

    COVID and the housing market

Barrie waterfront taxes are insane. Friends with a nice house on the water are deep into five figures and I won't be shocked if that gets to six figures in the next decade or two.

Is a sale to private equity ever a good thing? Loot and pillage, sell off all assets and bankrupt the shell.
