I'm picking up what you're putting down. Because they have such a flat/smooth sole, they are definitely slippy on gravel/sand so I just try to be extra careful where I put my foot down. A boot with a chunkier sole and treads might note fit as well under the shifter and then give less feedback...

Just wondering what model Alpinestars you have? I have the SMX-Plus and Supertechs and have good feel of the pegs and walking around all day. There are A LOT of (obvious) knock off A* boots out there, so be weary.

The track has a 5 or 6 year rule after which it becomes my street helmet assuming it still fits well.

Thanks for sharing the pics. It was definitely a scary moment and the one thing I hate about mosport. Too many times my friends leave in ambulances. It's too bad the same crowd and atmosphere never seems to travel to the other tracks, because that part is awesome.
