    Gaspé 2023

What size of a group are you expecting? I am planning to ride the gaspe pensinsula this summer but haven't picked a time yet.

Ground's still a little cold and wet... is it too early to start riding?

When did you last do this run? I did it 2 or 3 summers ago and there is a washout around the midway point on that road. I doubt it's fixed yet.

Ground's still a little cold and wet... is it too early to start riding?

What a crummy start to the season. I'm looking at the 14 day forecast and the highs never get above single digits. Most years I will have taken the bike out at least once in March. :(

    Lets Talk Tires

I think Dunlop hit it out of the park with the Trailmax Missions. They are very smooth on pavement and I always felt confident with them on spirited rides on twisty roads, I wasn't quite dragging knees, but pretty close. They are also long lasting. Off pavement, I found them much better than my...

A Ride up North - James Bay

For trips like these I like to bring a slow, easily-trippable friend. :D

    Garmin Zumo on sale

I got the 396 and my big complaint about it is the difficulty in inputting complex routes. I never go straight from a to b, I go from a to b via c,d,e...z and inputting that type of route takes forever on the tiny little screen. Or maybe I just haven't figured out the best way to do this. There...

A Ride up North - James Bay

Hwy 381 is supposed to be amazing, but I haven't been on it. Maybe this summer... Actually I'd like to finally ride the JBR, but I'm not super keen on joining a group where everyone else are already old friends and I'm the only newcomer. But if a bunch of GTAMers want to organize a ride I'd be...

A Ride up North - James Bay

Take the 155 north to saguenay, then the 167 to the 113, then the 113 southwest until you reach a road that connects to the 109. I thought the 155 was really scenic especially the area south of la tuque, reminded me of the southern portion of hwy 129 in ontario. The 167 and 113 are long and not...

Stupefying CO2 in Motorcycle Helmets and the Free Fix

I liked F9 better when they just did gear reviews. I wonder why they stopped doing those, I thought they were really good and brought to my attention certain pieces of gear I never would have considered until I saw the reviews.

    Looking for some fitness guidance

What you guys think of switching to decaf? I drink coffee out of habit and cause I like the taste but I don't need the caffeine. Would it be healthier to switch to decaf?

    Toronto Motorcycle Show - February 17-19 2023

Whoa they moved it to down town from mississauga? Now if I buy anything I'll have to lug it on the go train instead of being able to bring it home with my car. :(

    Ending my Search for GSX-R

If I understand you correctly, people crash their sleds then report their crash to their insurance in order to get it repaired? Why would anyone make a claim instead of just repairing it themselves, wouldn't it be way cheaper than having their rates raised?

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Yeah you're not wrong. The WRX is probably more fun to drive. But there's something to be said about never having to get gas. Just charge overnight and never worry, it's like having your own private gas station in your house. Also never have to sit in a cold car again. I also called Kia to ask...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I bought a new '22 wrx only a few months ago. Then the thought popped into my head that I wanted an EV. Now I can't stop thinking about it. On the other hand I can't stomach the idea of losing thousands on my wrx after only a few months. Might hold off for a while... Maybe I could get a used one...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I tried Clutch.ca and they offered me 34k. The problem is, if you trade it in the trade-in value is immediately applied to the price of the new car so you save a lot on tax. So if you sell it privately, you need to get at least 13% more just to break even.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Cool, it'll be interesting to find out, maybe there's some kind of trick to getting tesla to give a fair offer.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

No idea, I would always just look at autotrader and see what other cars with the same year/make/mileage/options as mine are selling for. Then I would take about 2 or 3k off that number cause I figure the dealer expects to make a profit on it, and that is what I'd expect the dealer to pay me for...
