    Disappointed in triumph

The idea of Cruise control scares the carp out of me on a motorcycle... Well the throttle lock type anyway.

    Handles

Ungoloth. I'm a big ' Lord of the rings' fan. After reading the Silmarillion, I discovered Shelob's mother was Ungoloit. Ungoloit was often taken so my variation is Ungoloth.

    snell helmets lacking sun shield

I can't imagine riding without Oakley sun glasses and just a clear visor. Just my 2 cents.

    Stayner stay away

I was at Tims at Stayner about a month ago. It was very dark and raining incredibly hard and the leathers were soaked right through. I remember the kid working there asking if my order was 'to go?'. I lifted the barrier around the tables, sat down as my leathers made puddles on the floor...

I once poured some into a large flat pan (tote box lid?). In about two days it just evaporated.

    Manitoulin Island

I did the island two weeks ago to visit an old friend. Took the ferry there and back. On the return trip I got rained on every mile of the way, in the dark and the wind was terrifying lol. At least the heated jacket kept me warm even when soaked right through. Thumbs up for Mich. road 5...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2020 Edition)

I need a few more rides before winter storage prep and enduring another long boring winter. So I'm keeping an eye on the weather, riding buddies on speed dial and heated apparel on stand-by. I'm afraid I'm going to have to visit the dark side by investing in a snowmobile to keep my sanity...

    Amsoil Preferred Customer-Question

I used to struggle with using Amsoil or Motul. Tried them both and was slightly happier with Amsoil but it was difficult to obtain until I found Royal Distributing. One day I noticed a large pail (20L?)of Rotella T6 on sale at CT. I put on my reading glasses and carefully read the literature...

    Garmin Zumo on sale

I used to use an automotive (not waterproof) gps until I drowned it on Hwy 141 a few years ago in a downpour. Now I use a zumo for big picture stuff ( I just leave it on all day without a route) and my (waterproof) phone for using google maps to pinpoint a location. I also use waze for cops or...

    Tire snobs

It's almost always due to target fixation. Fixating on something irrelative and not looking where you're suppose to be going. Your bike follows your hands and your hands follow your eyes. This also applies to riding equestrian lol

    Tire snobs

I ran Dunlop in the 70's on 1973 Kaw 900, Pirelli in the 80's on Kaw 900 ninja and 750 turbo, Metz in the 90's on Kaw ZX11, Bridgestone s22's recently on 2015 Kaw ZX10r and now trying Michelin road 5's on 2019 Kaw ZX10R. So far I like the road 5,s but they are pricey. Over all I guess the...

I installed the creepy surveillance app/device to get an insurance discount

Agreed. We now live in an age where doing the right and honest thing will cost you big time. I can see how the moral fabric of society has broken down to the point where deceit and untruths are the norm. I was not raised that way but am slowly degrading into the new norm. The wrecked ZX10R...
