Is a simple four into one header straight piped the best exhaust?

As a start, look for long and large diameter. That allows for flow and silencing.

Is a simple four into one header straight piped the best exhaust?

Who makes your current muffler? Buying a muffler from a brand that cares (like Akrapovic) vs a generic aliexpress muffler gives you better odds that airflow was considered and the entire budget wasn't sunk into appearance and marketing. If you are chasing all the buyer, buy some time at a dyno...

Is a simple four into one header straight piped the best exhaust?

There are mufflers that provide negligible hit to to power while not pissing off everyone in the world. Loud bikes cause complaints and regulatory blowback. Don't try to be an ass and that process is much slower. I don't think there is a muffler for a four-stroke that increases power over a...

    COVID and the housing market

Documentation like a map of your septic system which may not be available and/or support the 18 person capacity you are advertising on Airbnb. Some of the requirements seem excessive like checking the smoke and CO detectors after every stay. Not insurmountable though. The cleaner could do it or...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Well if you want your fantasy number to look better, comparing your 4 pax plane to a 13 pax plane makes the costs look more rosy. Most people drinking the kool-aid won't pick up on the stupidity of that comparison. A 206 would be a much better comparison with but then fuel would be ~$100/hr...

    COVID and the housing market

I was surprised at the magnitude of the lawsuit Centre Court threw in his direction. I expect him to be responsible for the difference in selling price from what he agreed to to what they got(~$400K). Suing him for $800k+ is a dick move and realistically I'd be shocked if he was able to ever...

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Can you make a weighted stock to allow conversion between field gun and range gun? It shouldn't be too hard to get a few pounds of lead shot into a stock. Balance when shouldering the gun may be weird but once it's up I wouldn't think it would be a big issue.

The "Official" Watch Thread and all Things Horological

If I had two computers, I would go that way instead. Since I only have one and don't dive that much anymore, one computer and one watch works for me. EDIT: Gshock passed pressure test. Dive computer is sadly too big to fit in my chamber (maybe I could get it to work if I built a custom arm for...

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

If you are spending tens of thousands on a gun for your hobby, a ding shouldn't be a big deal financially.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

PIvotal Helix is similar. Cool idea and has a real probability to deliver on it's promises. $190k USD for 64 km range. Classed as ultralight so you don't need a full PPL in the USA. If they ever became remotely popular, I expect regulation would change quickly to restrict them. It's one thing to...

The "Official" Watch Thread and all Things Horological

I have another G that is a decade younger and solar powered. Worst comes to worse, I can use that one. Display is smaller on the newer one. It looks like bezels are available for <$20 to replace the disintegrated one too. As I only use this for diving, I'm not sure I'll bother.

I may have replaced the strap once already. Yellow strap is secondary retention so even if the strap fails, it's probably not lost (and at this point not a huge loss if it disappears).

The "Official" Watch Thread and all Things Horological

Gw-6600 didn't entirely survive a battery change. Rubber around watch body fell apart. It is decades old and has seen a lot of use. Will pressure test it tomorrow after dive computer battery arrives, I suspect it will still work fine, it's just ugly. It is just a backup watch for diving at this...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Targeted range, projected range, rounds of funding secured. Wank. Once it actually carries passengers for hours, I'm willing to cha.ge my opinion. As it is now, it is 7000 lbs and I expect real range will be an order of magnitude less than the marketing.

Possibly ok for a flight school. For the vast majority of uses a giant wank using taxpayer funds.

    E bikes rampaging Toronto streets

I agree, not likely to deploy to chase. Like noise enforcement, I wouldnt be surprised if they spent a day or two rounding up bikes in trails if enough people complained.
