Licence testing for towing recreational trailers ?

They need to change that sign to include a pickup with a trailer on it. Speeding aside, I genuinely believe most people follow the rules they know (or think they know). Education would be better than enforcement in my opinion.

    What’s the deal

Or.....they could raise the speed limits to appropriate levels and cut all this extra horse$#!+ out. Under no circumstance should the speed limits be lower now than they were nearly 60 years ago, and under no circumstance should the limit be 20km/h below the average speed of traffic.

Licence testing for towing recreational trailers ?

I'd be happy if they would just ban them from the left lane of 400 series highways. Quite frustrating to have some jack@$$ pulling a fooking yacht at 95km/h in the left lane. Or the crews that think the wheels on a cement mixer are perfect for highway speeds.

    Generation Rant

It's very simple, there's a reason prostitution is the oldest profession. Women like money, men like sex. Women will part with sex to get money, and men will part with money to get sex, the opposite is most definitely not true. There was an experiment done with capuchin monkeys not long ago...

I can get along with this movement

I always laugh when I see someone driving around the gym for 10 min looking for a spot close to the entrance to save 1 min of walking. Only to go inside and run on a treadmill for 20 min. The rules against vandalism should be ignored in case of parking like above. Although, I do feel sorry...

    Watch out Novice Drivers.

"If you want to find the problem with democracy, spend 5 minutes with the average voter." This is a direct result of voter desires.

So punish everyone the same! My point is that one gets a suspension for NOT causing an accident and the other doesn't get a suspension when they DO cause an accident. Only an idiot would think this is a logical approach.

    Brian Mulroney dead

Trudeau went on a spending spree like a drunk sailor, then handed the bill over to Mulroney. He was handed a broke country and had to fix it. Just like our next PM after jack@$$ is gone. RIP.

    Watch out Novice Drivers.

What a pile of horse$#!+. A 30 day suspension for something as subjective as following too closely? My son has spent his entire life racing, I'd trust him at 3" off the bumper in front of him way, way more than 70% of the @$$hats on the 401 at 30' from the car in front. And he's 15. And why...

    Tool Box Organization

The key to tool storage is to never have to move anything to get or replace a tool. If I have to move something A to put something B back, then something A is just going to be dropped wherever there is space. Until there isn't space and I have to spend a weekend organizing my garage and trailer.

    Automated speed enforcement ticket

I'll supply the beer to anyone that cuts these things down. To the fine upstanding citizen looking out for others by doing this, a sincere thank you. Not that I ever drive through Essa, but I'm sure many have been stung by this.

Two really good pieces on helmet safety standards

Everyone should read the first article, at 327 pages, the second one is a novel, not an article. I genuinely wish this could be updated to include the newer SNELL certifications though. Anyone know if they've lowered the G tolerances since 2005?

    Relay required?

Huh, I stand corrected. That probably would light a cigarette.
  15. R

    Relay required?

I know, but for less than an amp you use a tiny wire that's limited to what it can handle. And that limit probably can't generate enough heat to light a cigarette. I'm not saying to definitely not add a fuse, just that I wouldn't feel unsafe without one.

    Relay required?

I'm with GreyGhost, no relay required. 10w/12v=0.83amps. Not sure you even need a fuse, that little amperage couldn't light a cigarette.

    Local Auto Thefts

My thoughts exactly. Cops don't want vigilantes because they render their jobs obsolete. Did the mafia learn from the cops about 'protection money's or vice versa?

Shame On Bell In A Booming Economy

If we are in a booming economy, then wouldn't that be the best time for a company to layoff/restructure? A time when those laid off have an opportunity to find new jobs with relative ease. Waiting until things are dire and potentially losing way more people during an economic downturn might be...

    Compound miter saw

Whatever you get, make sure it has a shadow line. I have a corded Dewalt 12" slider, and a cordless 7 1/4" Ridgid slider, both with that feature. After having that feature, anything without it is archaic. I have no personal experience with it, but apparently the articulating arm Bosch doesn't...
