The complaints that I most often hear about speed have to do with ridiculously low limits. A 30 Kmh limit is, in fact, ridiculous on a city street and is typically in place to protect cyclists and pedestrians from the consequences of their own actions, in my opinion. OK, Brampton is a bad...

Circumstances suggest that he took off from the scene. I can't find any reporting on the Hamilton Police website or Facebook about the original incident. Odds are that they knew who he was because he was the owner of the car found at the scene, and they just had to track him down. Reeks of, "My...

After causing a death? Not a citizen = likely a flight risk. Jailed until trial. We've had people in similar situations flee the country, before they could be made to pay for their crimes.

The vast majority of immigrants work harder and are more law abiding than born Canadians, or so say the statistics. Those who aren't haven't earned the right to stay here.

I'm slower in the straights than I am in corners, generally speaking, on the street. Going in fast, trail braking, and accelerating through the apex is for the track, not the street ;)

Get to speed just before hitting the corner, let the suspension settle, then take it? ;)

I generally accelerate into corners. For example I would do 40-50 Kmh on Guelph Line north, in the 50 zone, coming into Campbelleville. I would accelerate to 80-90 into the S curve into town, then roll off the throttle to be at 50 again before the train tracks.

I once led a group ride of 8 bikes. One guy had never ridden with me before. At one point we went through the few sweepers at Terra Cotta, coming up to Mississauga Road, and I had to wait 30 seconds for him to catch up. At the end of the ride he complained that I wasn't going fast enough in the...

He was at West. After they closed he moved to Kahuna. I inquired about a bike that they had for sale, that I was really interested in and he was the one who responded, so I dropped it. I later got a response from the manager and told him if Rossler was involved, I wasn't interested. The manager...

Yup. Electric will get you to the speed limit faster than you can blink. It just won't necessarily give speed addicts that top speed that they crave. It's a great idea for Montreal/Toronto/Vancouver where you spend a lot of time in stop and go traffic. unless you're breaking the law everywhere...

True enough. Those wonderful 7 and 8 year loans are a cash cow. I once had the sales manager at Cycle World dick me around over a loan, the day that I was supposed to pick up a new bike, saying that the loan hadn't yet been approved. In a month. I tossed two credit cards on the desk and said...

Won't maximize, but he certainly wouldn't get any benefit of the doubt without contrition. Then again defendants seem to be quite good at manufacturing contrition, when they're really just sorry for getting caught.

From the video, the perpetrator would have a very difficult time arguing that their actions were not purposeful. This fits the definitions for Assault Causing Bodily Harm (CC267). That's up to ten years. Given the conditions under which this occurred an argument could be made for Aggravated...

Reports are that they're selling like moldy bread. They've been sitting on showroom floors too long and keeping inventory that doesn't move is money the dealership can't do anything with.
