Who is spooning there own rubber?

Re: Who is spooning their own rubber? What's not to like about WD-40? ;) Of course holding off on wheelies til it dries is a good idea. :P

Who is spooning there own rubber?

Re: Who is spooning their own rubber? You can still get ULtra heavy duty for the front, but my source closed (both of them). I was using a metzler rear tube that I consider a medium duty for the KLR 17" rear.

Who is spooning there own rubber?

Is this for tubeless? I did it once for a rear tire on the bandit. I rested the rim on a tri folded bath mat, then ran my Honda Civic up onto it to break the bead. A spotter would have helped, lol. WD-40 to slip it into the rim, and duct tape to protect the rim. I got lucky and was able...

Who is spooning there own rubber?

I used to do my own changes on the KLR and DR650E. I was happy with 60/40 rubber, and bought a second set of rims for the KLR for dirt. I was using the longer levers, 16" I think, three of them, along with a DRC valve stem puller and a slime air compressor, soap and water, baby powder for the...

Lol. You should see me trying to get it together for a midnight pee. I fear for the tent.

I wish this had a like button. I'm 50 and not as limber in the morning as I would like. I can definitely relate to the desire for a taller tent. :)

11lbs is pretty heavy, so I'll assume it will take up your backseat. Big is right! I can't see myself in a redverz either. I like freestanding, especially useful when you set up on harder surfaces like gravel or even concrete. Easy to move around the campsite. I find my two man to be...

That's precisely why I added it to my "watch list". This blog entry influenced me quite a bit: https://www.pushbikegirl.com/nuts-bolts/cooking-gear-for-bike-touring/?lang=en

    Riding offroad should be mandatory

Both of my Nephews learned in the dirt before heading onto the street, and both have had minor on road get offs because off road traction doesn't apply to street tires. One of them really needed to watch twist of the wrist to understand more advanced street riding and how it differs from...

I saw Mark Victor review something similar: https://youtu.be/d-weoaZbJqo I'm not to keen on the cleanup, so would want it in a stuff sack to keep soot off my gear. I've seen a really cheap one on fleabay that also doubles as a pot stand windscreen for alcohol burners: I'm not sure it...

My Trangia clone arrived in the mail today. For just over $10 CDN it's a neat little setup. It works well, although I really didn't need it, but there you go.

Think of all the beer you can buy for that kind of money! (For, ahem, more stoves of course) What do you do with all the time you save? Drink beer? ;)

While I was out camping in New Brunswick this past weekend, my Nephews threw a party and I returned home to find all sorts of raw materials lying around, I couldn't resist making a couple of stoves. https://rottenxxxronnie.blogspot.ca/2017/09/boredom.html

Which part failed? I had good experience with the CTC but not when hauling weight around the mountains or across loose gravel.

Did you cut your balls off

Losing the bar ends on the KLR in favour of the ascerbis guards had me googling "bar snakes" and "lead shotgun shot" etc. I did notice an increase in vibration after the mod, but it faded from mind as I enjoyed having both levers free of mud and breakage. :D It came back to mind now and then as...
