    I can't find a better title

In my mind this is gonna get corrected (to a degree) one way or another in my lifetime. I think it's pretty unlikely it's going to happen via co-operation or legislation. I also think the USA is going to self-destruct (to a degree) in my lifetime. Maybe other powers will try to give it a little...

Federal Appeals Court Ruling - CRA and defining Spouse

I was hoping someone would bring this up on here, the whole thing is bizarre. The spirit of the law seems clear to me, they ruled on the letter of the law, and it sounds like the CRA still shouldn't have gotten the money for entirely different reasons. The ruling SEEMS to be opening an...

What's in your Toolkit and if you even have it?

I'm gonna remember this, it never even occurred to me it was a thing

What's in your Toolkit and if you even have it?

Last two bikes were both missing the factory toolkit. Frustrating because it's hard to come up with anything that's even close to as optimized... When I go on a longer ride/trip I just pick out an assortment of small tools. Only critical addition that you don't get from the factory is zip ties

    Auto shop feedback

Is this about the Toyota mag-style nuts with the captive washers? They CAN be technically be used on steel wheels that have cone seats, as they are designed to work with a steel compact spare. However then the washers are jangling loose, which will probably beat them up slightly over time. In...

That sounds reasonable in theory but somehow I doubt the documentation process is actually designed to accommodate this

Garmin Drops a Motorcycle Radar System With Blind-Spot Monitoring, and a Rear Camera

You know, one of the many things I like about riding motorcycles is the greatly enhanced visibility compared to driving a car. Maybe I'm taking my functioning neck for granted, but I can't imagine how this system will enhance situational awareness instead of hindering it.

    Full Body MRI Scans

I suppose it's worth mentioning that I get annual abdominal MRIs (paid for in full by OHIP) due to health issues. There was an older unit at Toronto Western that was REALLY cramped - speaking as someone who at the time was pretty underweight, it seems like it was more suited to small animals...

    Full Body MRI Scans

$3K for an MRI sounds dirt cheap to me, honestly. I wonder who is reviewing the scans, though

    Triumph 900 GT

I haven't been paying attention and had no idea they had bumped the displacement on the 800. I saw Tiger 900 and was thinking of the bike from 30 years ago

What product do you always go back to? Or change out every time?

I wonder 20 years ago how many people would have said they would always buy a Corbin seat

What product do you always go back to? Or change out every time?

Change out ALMOST every time: K&N filters. I hate them. I hate the sheen of oil inside the airbox from them. "But that won't happen if you don't over oil them" everybody over oils them. Funny enough, for as big of a market there apparently is for them, I've never been able to sell a used one. I...

    Alcohol and cancer

It has been the position of Health Canada & CCSA since 2023 that any alcohol increases your risk of cancer. https://www.ccsa.ca/canadas-guidance-alcohol-and-health

If you could load your bike on a plane and had 6 weeks off, where would you go?

I was thinking somewhere warmer than here, that's a good answer. I would pick New Zealand, Australia is more uppity about speed cameras and stuff

Are you switching to Windows 11?

This functionality usually isn't built into Windows but added by the laptop manufacturer via their own software. You may need to (re)download that software for your specific laptop from the manufacturer. e.g. Lenovo calls it "Hotkey Features Integration"
