Might be best to buy an old one and renovate?

Don't think I'll be recreating the wheel. Agree with @crankcall almost every market is saturated. Just trying to hypothetically discuss options without going down rabbit holes.

Agreed, that's probably the biggest factor in my hesitation. I deal with it already with my current position. Too many fish, not enough pond...

I'll just skip out back to the money tree. 😂 While I agree many partnerships fail, in a fantasy land where my money tree grows, it would be nice to share the experience. Just talking things through.

Good points. Thanks all. Moving on from the partner subject. Let get back on track. Has anyone actually done a significant career? In hindsight what would you do differently?

I was being sarcastic, no idea what I would do. At my age I don't have many "do overs" so planning is key. What I do know is I would have to minimize risk and financial burden, somit would start as a side hustle or part-time job. Just no clue what to do?

I'd like to start something with a partner. Any idea? I have about 60k in loc's unused for emergency use only. I have enough equipment to start a lawn care business, but lack the truck and trailer...lol

I've been in industrial automation sales/management (vacuum, pneumatics) for most of my career. Always enjoyed the challenge. Last year I suddenly lost my job due to the US company pulling Canadian operations. Found another job and it's going ok, but no where near where it should be sales wise...

Country Living (septic, well water, etc.) ... who's done it?

Couple of points. Typically the septic system is pumped out and inspected, this is a typical condition of sale. If current owners have lawn care, snow removal equipment you can request purchase of it with home. Of course ensure you want it and in good condition. Water test is typically done...

Country Living (septic, well water, etc.) ... who's done it?

I'm on 5 acres. On well water, septic and propane. My driveway is almost 1km from end to end. It's gravel. Got a uv filter, water softener and r/o for drinking water. Got a tractor with plow and snow blower for driveway. Looking into a zero turn for a 2nd grass cutter. Power goes out less here...

    Any electricians?

I should explain. My use for this is mainly testing pneumatically driven vacuum handling components. This is what I do for work. Vacuum generators, vacuum cups etc. customers send sample materials and we're able to test, make video and hopefully sell the solution. Won't be using it for any...
