Any recommendations on earphones (music, google maps directions) for riding ?

@Macdoc, since you own both do you grab the Pioneers or Shures on most days? They're priced pretty similarly, and I do have an iphone.. probably staying with them for the foreseeable future. I read your praises on the Pioneers, but am weary of their long-term durability, hard plastic everything...

Not so neighbourly neighbour - sigh

Maybe a different approach.. but perhaps you two can play nice and work on a better and more efficient fire pit with holes on the bottom (like a dakota fire hole) to help him burn stuff more "completely" which will mean less smoke?

    Ble ray Vs Maxima lube

What are you cleaning your maxima-waxed chain with? I use kerosene and have no issues removing traces of everything with a rag and chain brush.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Shame about the rebate, but there was always an end date no? Based on x-number of cars sold under this program. I don't think it will affect manufacturers much since Ontario, heck, Canada is such a small market for their overall sales. Maybe the used market will see some semblance of a...

Thinking of buying a LARGE car....

A bit of a tongue in cheek comment, but how about a Dodge Sprinter or ram equivalent? Tonnes of space for humans, tonnes left for non-animate objects, good on diesel, can come in 4x4, and best of all, TRACK DAY HOTEL and bike transport. Big toyota vehicles are like the Jeeps and WRX's in some...

    Pannier advice

Damn, those look great! I definitely wouldn't hesitate to buy a set of those if I didn't have my other gear. That type of roll-top dry bag work wonders for camping.

    Pannier advice

I have both soft and hard luggage for my vfr I have to top and side racks installed at all times, but normally only rock the top case. Sidecase/bags only when needed. My racking is from Kappa, or at least it is compatible with kappa. I replaced the top mount topplate from kappa to my old...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

The Honda insight looks damn normal now! Even better (way better) than the Clarity. Why couldn't they make the Clarity look normal?--because they were coming out with this fella: https://jalopnik.com/the-2019-honda-insight-is-the-most-normal-hybrid-1826952712

TIL: solo riders are not allowed in the diamond lanes on the 400-series highways

Did someone say filter? Just kidding. (Yes, I complete my filter in the 2-3 seconds it takes to change from red to green if I'm a car or two back and the first in line leaves a massive gap)

    Road (ST) Vs Sport Tires

I've been flip-flopping between the Michelin Road 5 or Dunlop Roadsmart 3's the past few days for my 2001 vfr800, but am likely going with the Roadsmart 3's purely because they end up almost $200 cheaper for a set. $480 vs $350(actually, 275 after $75 rebate). FWIW, nothing but great...

Where to buy Amsoil in GTA?

There is a local (small) distributor that is in the area of Bass Pro in Vaughan. He will meet you at the parking lot of Bass Pro for pickup, orr he can ship to your GTA address for $10. I ordered 14qt of long life gear lube and 3 qt of ATF for $260 shipped. Decent pricing. PM me for his number...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

The volvo xc40 seems to be portioned and designed to work with a hybrid/electric version down the line. Would certainly make the best looking hybrid/electric crossover should it ever come to fruition (in north america)

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

RE: Driving in the slow lane on a 400-series highway: I would say 90km/h is dangerous, even in the right lane. In my suv, I normally drive 110km/h, and float between the middle/right lanes, and I actually enjoy the pockets of traffic when no one is around outside the core. Also, other EV news...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

The only reason for a GTAM-er to buy a Prius, especially in light of this thread: Prius-camping. There's more than (don't quote me) 6' of clear back to front space with the rear seats folded down. Not sure why, but Youtube recommended some old dude camping out of his older Prius (the ones that...

Hey. Be careful out there today

Double check with a second gauge--especially if it is an older gauge. I have an accugauge that is super accurate, but oddly enough, reads higher by 7psi... just need to -7psi for each reading.. Could have returned it, but I'll use it to practice elementary math.

The fully electric and hybrid Jeep will make the big move for EV. Too bad they won't portal-axle it and give it an overwhelming ground clearance.

    Waze adds Motorcycle Specific Navigation

Anyone know what app this fella is referring to? ios or android?--couldnt' find the paid version in a quick search. I’ll have to take a look at WAZE and see how it works on a Motorcycle. Right now I use an app called CRUISER which is for Motorcycles. One of the things I really like about it, is...

Sore Balls after only a day of riding

Wrong bike for your body shape and size. Took my vfr out for its maiden ride, came back only to realize that 8 hours had elapsed. I was sore and needed a break after 2 on my previous 500, both have a corbin seat.
