I agree, same goes for distracted driving. Just enforce the laws, otherwise they're just useless.

Any change has not only be listed in your ownership, but also be approved. So in essence the state is telling you what you can and cannot change on your car or motorbike.

i.e. in Germany any change you make to your vehicle (or motorcycle) has to be approved by the TÜV and documented in your ownership papers.

Alcohol is about the only thing where they're more liberal. I grew up there and lived there until age 28.

While I agree with the sentiment, I also agree that we have enough laws as it is. I enjoy as variety of terrain, which is why I chose my li'l G650GS as my bike and have no regrets. Blackfin, lots of nice un-maintained roads around Orangeville/Creemore.

Not carrying quite the same amount of weight, but I use a top case. Also comes in handy to store my helmet and gloves while at work. When I don't need it, I just take it off as it has a quick release system. But then I'm past the age where I worry about what other people think I look like :D

Fully agreed. My point was in response to Brian P about war memorials in Europe that are all about the allies/liberation or as a negative such as the KZ's. None of them about anything German in glorious manner such as statue of General Lee.

None of them show say Adolf Hitler, Goering or Rommel. There is no war memorial for the invasion of Poland or France. I was born in Germany of German parents, at age 3 we moved to Brussels. By the time I was 6 I knew every WW2 related name calling or insult for Germans. Not a nice feeling trust me.

That thing doesn't seem to have pedals either but rather foot pegs, so it wouldn't classify as an e-bike but rather an electric motorcycle.
