Found little beady today under the nest. Poor little guy had just died, I watched mum and dad land nearby and call out to him with no response. I feel weirdly quite sad. Nature is both wonderful and cruel.

I was just coming back to update. The little bugger didn’t seem to have very developed feathers and it was getting a bit warm so I scooped him up and put him back in the nest for mum to look after.
