Volume. Ask what the next rate tier is. Let's say you want to buy $1000 for example. Maybe they're rate is $0.01 - $1000 = market rate. $1001 - $2000 = better rate etc... Might get a better rate by buying a little more.

Start off with insurance. Find out what it'll cost you with the various bikes and if you can afford the payments - some companies i.e. Jevco demand the entire year up front.

Good point. I didn't really think of it that way. While I was typing it out, I was thinking about how it actually happened and boy did the car really swerve. You're right though. I fully changed lanes and back again pretty quickly. On the bike it would've simply been over the line and back.
