    HWK Riding Gear

Some of the amazon reviews mention low quality stitching. The seams coming apart is the last thing you want when you're sliding on the pavement. Also this guy did a review and his pants are wearing badly:

    Ducati Desert X

I would get the KTM 890 adventure over this. Better able to handle drops. Lighter, plus the weight is way down low. Probably easier to work on too. The air filter is literally under the seat, no tools required (or maybe a single screw, I forget).

Can't you just stuff a rag in it.

    Who's still riding? Fall & Winter 2022 (& 2023!) edition!

Yesterday was the last ride of the year for me. Today I'm gonna winterize it. :)

    2023 Suzuki V-Strom 800DE

Too late. If somebody wants this class of bike, they probably already own a ktm 790 which came out in 2019.

    Moving out of Province? Pro's & Con's

I'd move to the east coast, cheap houses plus I could ride the cabot trail often. :)

    Inflation

Even the smartest minds on wall street can't beat the index consistently. If you managed to do it this year, you got lucky. Fooling yourself into thinking it's anything more than luck is just gonna hurt you eventually. I stopped picking stocks once I realized this and now I only buy the index...

Cold out this morning for ride to work. Traction? Gear?

They arrived and I tested them out yesterday. You were right, they get pretty warm but not really hot. They are better than nothing though. They also add bulk to the grips, which I found a bit annoying. I'd say for $23 they're worth it if you're someone who only rarely rides when it's cold but...

Why is Ontario becoming the wild-west of roads and highways?

I wonder if it could be that when you travel far from home, you tend to stay on the main highways where you are less likely to encounter douchenozzles.

Cold out this morning for ride to work. Traction? Gear?

The thing I hate about the oxfords is the giant control unit. I prefer to have as few things cluttering my handlebars as possible. Some grips like the apollo kosos have the buttons built right into the grips, seems much smarter to me.

    SW-Motech PRO Tank Bags

I just bought the Pro City, very nice bag and fits the shape of my tank perfectly. My concern is, if the mechanism fails to operate, there is no way to open the tank, so how would you fuel up? You'd be stranded. There is no way to access the screws to remove it from the top.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Hmmm house was built in 1999, I bought it in 2015, and the crack only started developing about 2 months ago. Not sure if this is the original floor put in in 1999 or if the previous owner redid it. If I have to repair a crack every 5 years that's no biggie. I wonder if there's such a thing as...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Grout cracking in my bathroom. Is it just a matter of chiselling out the old grout and refilling it with this stuff or do I need to do something more complex than that?
