    Tankless water heater just burst

Switched to tankless a year ago, absolutely no problem with hot water supply i.e. it is almost instantaneous and multiple use does not effect the temperature level. Caveat: depends on the type of tankless, the common adage "you get what you pay for" applies. The company I used had no problems...

    GP Sales

Test rode a Ducati GT-1000 when GP Bikes was operating out of the strip mall in Ajax. Always glad to see a bike shop doing well and Jerry has expanded his business vs. others shuttering down!

    Normal car recommendation….

CVT? .... ugh! Had a Civic 1.5T with the CVT, liked the car and hated the CVT (even after six years of ownership). Two major recalls, the most recent being the potential of fuel pump failure and a couple of TSBs that if you didn't ask for, you wouldn't get.

    Dangerous honda recall

The cars have a similar recall, apparently the plastic impeller of the fuel pump is made of sub-standard material that can later swell up and lock. The fuel pump is from an external supplier that provides the component to other car manufacturers too.

Python burgers served up at your favourite local restaurant?

Honorary Research Fellow Dr Daniel Natusch from the School of Natural Sciences, found pythons convert feed into weight gain remarkably efficiently compared to conventional livestock such as chickens and cattle. "In terms of food and protein conversion ratios, pythons outperform all mainstream...

    These Conservatives

An analysis by The Hub on a recent speech by PP in BC ..... "Poilievre’s speech was an inherently realignment one. In particular, his message about the working class (“when I’m prime minister, my obsession—my daily obsession—will be about what is best for the working-class people of this...

    Anyone use Batteryclerk.ca?

As GG says, the performance under load is a better marker than the voltage reading of the battery. I am no expert, but these are the basics that as an ex-Marine Engg that I remember. Volts = the pressure pushing the electric current. Watts = the power it takes for the battery to actually do...

    Riders Plus

Home + Auto + Bike are up by ~ 12.5%. Am planning on staying put (with Matt from The BIG, he is a site supporter), Matt is pretty responsive and am sure that the rates from "others" will not vary a lot. (Banks, Insurance Cos and Politicians, all have their hands in our collective pockets!)

    Who's still riding? Fall & Winter 2022 (& 2023!) edition!

Are your bikes on battery tenders and are the batteries AGMs? Just curious, thanks.

Any suggestion as to where I can go to place an order? HD doesn't have them and the Sales Associate seemed clueless, have not seen them on Amazon . Thanks

    Compound miter saw

Minor thread derail, apologies Jampy00. I have a Rockwell 5A corded 4 1/2" circular saw, bought for occassional use. Thing is that the arbor size is 3/8" (9.5 mm) and except for Rockwell, most after-market 4 1/2" circular saws have an arbor size of 5/8" or 7/8". Is there an available adapter...

The Lunar New Year (on Feb 10th)

In advance for Feb 10th, Happy Year of the Dragon! If your age is a multiple of 12 this year, you’re a dragon in the Chinese zodiac. The dragon is a powerful, energetic and ambitious creature. Yes, it can be temperamental and self-centred, but it’s also very likable and popular, with enviable...

Thank you gtam for not selling out

The "other" (make specific) forum that I am a member of has recently switched to Verticalscope and I only got to know of it when I started getting the "server not available" error message while trying to access that forum via Tapatalk. To be polite, let me share that the response times to access...

    Another Mike Holmes Stinker (Meaford)

Was approached in a Home Depot Mississauga store by a guy wearing the Home Depot apron, soliciting for a "free water purity test". Almost fell for it 'cos of the Home Depot apron and it being in a Home Depot store - is Home Depot that broke to resort to this scam?
