I've been getting away with a Snowjoe corded snowthrower for close to a decade, it's on it's last legs but still working. Had to cut the plastic open last week to access the electric motor brushes/rotor as it wasn't firing. Gave it a good scuff with some emery cloth and duct taped the plastic...
Wouldn't mind checking out this show again
Interested in seeing and sitting on some new bikes and also browsing some gear
In the market for a new lid as well
Probably about a decade ago or so on a group ride posted here
3 of us met up in Peterborough to go for a ride and swim up in Barry's Bay
None of us had met before
During a fuel stop on the way up, one of the bikes (an older smaller Yamaha/Suzuki savage type cruiser) started having trouble...
I agree on having a dual voltage 120V/240V if you can swing it, but OP is new to welding and is unlikely to need much more than a basic 120V mig for common garage/hobby projects
Adding 240V to the garage is an additional expense
If you're welding thicker stuff, bevel the ends and run a root...
Personally found HF lift TIG a PITA
Could not get the arc started consistently and was contaminating the electrode often
Ended up selling it
I would recommend a decent lincoln/hobart/miller 120V MIG with a co2/argon bottle instead
Capable of thin gauge steel and up to 3/16" thick the odd...
Biked just over 30kms after work. Not much wind so was quite pleasant once warmed up
About 75kms on the new freehub so far and it seems to be holding up🤞
The first time it broke, the bike could not coast (fixy)
Now there is no engagement when pedalling, just clicking when trying to pedal (sounds like something is rounded off)
The pawls still click when pedalling backwards
I've no idea, and no I'm probably 155lbs soaking wet 😌
Bike is a 2014 Trek Stache 7
I do ride it almost year round including winter, so I wonder if corrosion might've accelerated it's demise?
Bringing it back to the person who repaired it for me last month to take a look
I totally forgot about Jimmy's heated gear venture, thanks I'll look into it.
My last interaction with him was for a pair of armored jeans when he was still involved with motorcycle garments
The reason I don't want anything wired is because I wanna be able to use the gear with other...
What are some versatile heated gear items some of you like to use? I'm interested in a vest at a reasonable price that I can use for more than just riding, so preferably something with decent battery life that doesn't need to be plugged into the bike.
Cold weather riding and outdoor physical...
Interesting note about South Lavant Rd #16 Shane, and another awesome ride report!
Thanks for taking the time to share 🙏
Will have to try and get out that way sometime!
Hopefully we'll have some good riding weather to enjoy the local fall colours too
Still a bit early but the leaves should start transitioning anytime now
This is a good reference once they start providing updates:
