    New Daytona 660

I have to disagree here. Just about every track or race bike has a suspension that's been upgraded no matter how good it came from the factory. I understand that to make a bike marketable some performance corners need to be cut. If the bike comes with crap tires, a heavy and restrictive...

    New Daytona 660

Calling it a Daytona is an insult to previous gen Daytonas. It took Triumph 18 years to make the bike heavier, uglier, lower on power, and include a crappier suspension. Not the progress I was hoping for. If they wanted a sport tourer, they should have just sold a fairing kit for the ST3.

    Feds plan to melt ICE

I did put in the disclaimer that I understand it's a truck and as such inherently heavier. A friend of mine has an F250 diesel and it's pretty bad on tires as well. Not every 20k Rivian bad, but still it's every 50k bad. The solution is to limit pickups to construction companies and farms. Or...

    Feds plan to melt ICE

The problem with EV's that no one seems to talk about is the life expectancy of tires. A good friend of mine is pretty high up at Rivian and he was telling me that some of the employees there were complaining that after 10,000 miles they needed new tires. Heavy vehicle due to weight, add...

What do bike manufacturers actually make?

Cars, motorcycles, cnc machines, a ton of stuff is done this way. In house is the design, assembly and big stuff (chasis/engine), the rest is outsourced. Could you imagine if a car company made it's own everything down to headlight bulbs and wiper blades? Division of labour expanded.

    Is a CBR125 too small?

Get a decent track/race prepped R3. Then if you decide to race you'll have a decent chance (bike wise) in lightweight classes. Anything slower than an R3 will get you nowhere and the next step up, the ninja 400, is considerably more expensive.

Williams also lost a car a few years ago from a manhole cover that wasn't welded down.

    Who's still riding? Fall & Winter 2022 (& 2023!) edition!

Hmm, this seems to be the point at which envy begins and our friendship ends. Dante doesn't like you much right now either. 🤣

    Emissions and the car industry

Hoods must have either crumple zone space between the hood and the engine, or have poppers that pop the hood up at the hinges so that when a pedestrian is hit, they don't contact the engine. A good friend of mine has been a car designer for years. That's how he explained it to me (or that's...

    Emissions and the car industry

In my opinion it isn't the engines that have sterilized cars, it's the lack of manual transmissions, and the bloat due to safety measures. Pedestrian friendly hoods, more airbags than radio presets, and the limitless lengths of wire for everything add a ton of weight. I understand the...

Would you fix this bent rim, or replace it?

It's just a regular tire machine to mount motorcycle tires. Balancing is a different story.

    Mechanic Shop in Mississauga

The emergency roadside towing is just that, for emergencies on currently registered vehicles. So I'm not surprised they didn't tow you. That said, they shouldn't use up one of your tows if you didn't use up one of your tows. Renting a motorcycle trailer is your least expensive option assuming...

    Sikh helmet exemption

A few years ago when Michigan repealed it's helmet laws a study by Michigan's DOT came out with helmet statistics. In the end, helmet use makes virtually no difference. There were a few more dead people, a few less crippled people, but on the whole, there was no correlation indicating helmets...
