What did you do in your garage today..?

No the E-starter bendix. They can fail and cause damage to the cover and should be checked for wear. Easy/cheap fix, just a wear item to check that some don't think about. Upgraded bushings are brass. https://www.thumpertalk.com/forums/topic/1320962-2017-starter-bendix-bush-upgrade/

    Long lived high mileage rides

Most motorcycle engine/trans are built strong enough they'll go reliably for hundreds of thousands of miles with just regular maintenance. It's parts around it that'll likely need replacement or repair here and there and it's like that for every bike because seals will rot and fail as will...

    Fuller story behind KTMs troubles

Friend of mine recently bought a Subaru which came with a free trial period access to their App with remote start. She's never had remote start and said she'd never missed it until she had it. If it wasn't for the free trial period she never would have paid for the option but now realizes she...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Sorted and organized my collection of spare pieces of wood and ends. Tell me you’re bored without actually saying it I guess. After that I started reorganizing the rest of the shed and moved a bunch more stuff into the rafters that doesn’t ever get used/spares. Have the fancy rubber coated...

    Used bike online listings.

I've sold a ton of stuff lately, everything on Marketplace except for one on kijiji. Snowmobiles and tons of related merch, trailer, 4 helmets, kids stuff, home stuff. If the person is nice and doesn't waste my time I often toss them free stuff while they're here if they can use it. I just...

What happens if KTM goes bust?

Sold my Victory Magnum a year or two after they stopped making them. I had a stampede of people wanting to buy it and I listed it for $2000 less than I paid for it at the dealer new 4yrs earlier and had put 40,000km on it. Guy drove 4hours to pick it up (hauling a massive enclosed trailer btw...

S3E3 of Reacher has some filming from Millbrook, ON. I was there that day with my KTM parked on the main street but it didn’t make it into the shots.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

There’s less today as it’s milder out but Stihl plenty. The hardware on the man-door often has frost on it as well although I don’t feel any excessive air flow near the housings. Door itself has seals in good shape all around. Weirdly no frost on the side of the garage housing the bay doors just...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

My attached garage is finished/insulated however not heated. Rarely gets below zero in there however the exposed 8-12" of foundation not attached to the house often gets frost on it radiating more cold into the space. Probably nothing I can do to prevent this though right?

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Learned that with my first pool while adding calcium to a bucket of the pool water (chlorinated). It was a race to get it stirred up with my hand and dumped in before it got too hot.

What did you do in your garage today..?

There's a snowblower repair FB group with lots of info on motor choices/swaps if interested. FWIW the 414AX motor on my Ariens is a lovely beast and recommended (not sure who the motor supplier is but should be easily found).

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

I did a Canadian Tire run yesterday for some replacement auto supplies and every second person in/out of there was grabbing bags of salt and we haven't had much weather that'll cause ice on driveways so must be ice-dams.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

I cleared the open part of the deck as well as the kids playhouse roof. Kiddos saw me and waded through the 3ft of snow to play in their park. Good times jumping off things into huge piles of snow.
