    Gear indicator

If you ride your bike enough, you can usually tell what gear you're in just by sound and feel. That said, OP post up the Amazon link to the gear indicator. Most of these 3rd party add ons plug into the ECU to read this info so you need to make sure the connector is the correct one. I don't...

Dealer Demo Ride: "If you break it, you buy it!"

haha, I just bought a DesertX from them a few months ago. They totally shoulda let me test ride the Panigale V4R!!!! 😡 🤣

Dealer Demo Ride: "If you break it, you buy it!"

No questions. I just want to ride one. On the track. :devilish::devilish::devilish: Those SPs sure are nice. All the sweetest suspension bits without the stressed race engine bits of the R. Was eyeing @reciprocity's (RIP) 1198 SP at Shannonville and he offered to let me test ride it for a...

Dealer Demo Ride: "If you break it, you buy it!"

Do they sell less of the XDiavels than Diavels? Didn't know that. As for taking it into the dealership for them to adjust your mirrors, yeah, that's a recent Ducati thing. All their models are like that.

Dealer Demo Ride: "If you break it, you buy it!"

Yeah, this is the first Duc V4 I've ridden as well. They do know how to make the most of their lineup by shoehorning all manner of engines in the same chassis to fit any price point or use case. Want an affordable Ducati or one that's good for commuting? Get the V2. Want one with more legs...

    Portable battery charger

If you need it charged and you do have a wall-charger, just remove the battery and charge it in your condo.

Dealer Demo Ride: "If you break it, you buy it!"

The Diavel Made Me Do It I've been curious about Ducati's V4 engine for a while now, ever since they moved from the L-twin platform at WSBK. Its straight-line performance has definitely been a talking point in and around the paddock. I asked the local dealership if I could take a brand new...

    2025 Day Trips!

My buddy from the Kootenays rode over to our neck of the woods, so we joined him on his tour around the Okanagan. Woke up much too early for a weekend to meet him at James Lake where he was camping out. It's only 20 minutes away behind our house, but a 8:30AM meetup time was a bit painful for...

    Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 thoughts

10% of sales went to the US. Not peanuts. Largest market for KTM bikes was in India at 20%. 2024 numbers, which were significantly below 2023 figures.

If I was Bajaj, I'd take a look at all the duplication of bikes that compete with each other: KTM EXC 500, Gas Gas ES500, Husky FE501 KTM 890 Adventure R, Husqvarna 901 Norden KTM 690 Enduro R, Gas Gas ES700, Husqvarna 701 Enduro KTM 690 SMC, Gas Gas SM700, Husqvarna 701 Supermoto KTM 390 Duke...

    Quick Shifter

In the dirt world, the auto-blipper can be nice because it doesn't upset the chassis when you downshift, thus preserving traction - very valuable when downshifting while entering a corner or going down a steep hill. Having said that, nothing beats the satisfaction of a perfectly timed...

Is the CBX250 the same bike as the CBF250? If so: https://grantward.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/honda-cbf-cbx-250-twister-workshop-manual-english-optnopw.pdf

Worth it to move up in cc?

Everyone's different. I only regret selling one bike I've ever owned and that was because we had to liquidate everything to travel full-time, and it wasn't a small bike. Personally, I like all bikes. Big, small, red, orange, blue, heavy, light, whatever. I like motorcycles.

I have a complicated ownership case here

Probably price. Thieves and scammers know that if they lower the price enough, many people will ignore all sorts of glaring red flags if they believe they are getting an incredible bargain.

    Carney Scam, not political

AI detecting if images and videos are AI generated... It's like the radar-detector-detector-detectors cat-and-mouse game between police and speeders.

    Gps trackers... Nerds assemble!

The AirTag works within 30 feet indoors/100 feet outdoors of *any* Apple device, not just yours. As long as anybody with an Apple device walks past your luggage within 30-100 feet at any time, it will transmit its location through that device to Apple's Find-Me network over their mobile or wifi...

    Gps trackers... Nerds assemble!

You can't replace the battery in an InReach. What you are describing is incredibly over-complicated and expensive and unreliable to get the same, relatively cheap, user-friendly, reliable functionality as an AirTag. I have an InReach and an AirTag. I would never ever use the InReach for...

    Gps trackers... Nerds assemble!

Most airlines won't allow you to keep a battery-pack in your check-in luggage: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/items/power-banks Just use the AirTag. This is *exactly* what it was designed for. Anything else is a kludge that is overly expensive, overly complicated...

    Gps trackers... Nerds assemble!

Good idea in theory. I have mine set to leave breadcrumbs every 10 minutes. However, my InReach v1 runs out of battery within 24 hours. And it won't connect to a satellite when indoors. Also, when searching for unreachable satellites, it will burn through the battery much quicker. Plus it...
