Very welcomed. Before renting a hog in AZ the Squeeze and I went to Rocky's in London to sit on one. When we went in the girl was friendly and said "sit on anything you want". Most bike shops don't like you hopping on random bike unless there's a salesman hovering. It was very good experience...
It's great. I have some back issues and love.
Where would you buy one? @GreyGhost is not far off. We bought this bed in '85. We're on our third bladder. They wear out.
Checked with Harold my 90 + neighbour who helped put on the second floor. (He still drives!)
The 2x6s were sistered with 2x10s. Could say now I can rest easier but I'm already sleeping on a waterbed.
Nope! It's been there almost 30 years. I think it's good for another 30.
I'll have to ask the nieghbour who helped on the project if they sistered the joists.
All that said I'd add a jack post in the middle of my living room before I'd ditch the bed.
That's my current house. They added the second floor w/o disturbing the drywall ceiling on the main. For the second floor they just went with baseboard electric (it was added in the 70's).
We don't use much heat upstairs as the kids are gone and the Squeeze and I share a waterbed. Always toasty...
Do you take lids? Squeeze and I had one hockey dedicated just for helmets and jackets when we did the fly and ride. Helmets don't pack well. They're so hard to fold.
Could have done it if they had learned how to pack. I remember watching an episode (or reading??) where they decided to lighten the load and decided they didn't need a spare stove. Who brings a "spare" stove?
I would do this go for a ride and then see if you still have issues. Then replace or relax depending on what you find.
Some simple wrenching with the manual in hand (You did buy a Model specific manual for your bike, right?) can save big bucks and and not put at the mercy of the shops timing...
