Last night I saw a fire truck with lights and sirens ablaze on the Danforth as the cars had absolutely no where to go with the parking lane full and bicycle/E-bike express lane protected by curbs. Finally a smarter driver turned down a side street and the others followed to let the truck...

@kurtrules, great photos, looks like a similar trip I did last month, but with an incredibly expensive overnight in Huntsville. ( hotel saw us coming). Portage road and the dock are great spots for photos.

How did you like Letterkenny road? It is one of the few roads in the Valley that I have not been on yet. Seems to be very popular with the cruiser crowd.

Nice ride report. Calabogie/ Madawaska Valley is awesome and always great for a 2-4 day trip. My days of Calabogie and return on the same day are over.

Forget the trailer and ride the bike up. Go for an early ride before they wake up. Head over to Barry’s bay and be back before noon. No one will miss you.

Long time user of Scenic and agree with above. You can be very specific about your stops and waypoints. And best of all modify on the fly.

Good starting point for the ride, but very short ride over to Port Hope. Head north after and enjoy the roads south of Rice Lake.

Keep them separate, most hikes, unless muddy or snow covered can be handled in a good pair of running shoes which can easily be packed. I have covered a few kilometre hikes in my BMW Allroound touring boots, but would not attempt in my sport/track boots.

Scenic is awesome and simple to use for trip and detailed routes. If have an iPhone. But for simple navigation around town etc. Google maps is hard to beat especially if used with your Bluetooth communicator so you can listen to instructions.
