7 hundred and something for me with collision at 43 and a buddy I ride with has a r1 and its 1400 for the year....neither rate is good in my eyes, When I started to ride I insured a bike for $300 at 16 years age.
When I glance over the fallen riders section, I see the rates are going to go up again.
I find TSC puts on some nice sales. I just bought a 60 gallon that was marked down 400 bucks. It was time to replace my old 25 gallon direct drive that was 25 years old.
There is a chance that if the biker only rides a few hundred km a year that he/she doesn't get out enough to warrant dropping the bike or will not speak of it lol.
If the limits are being pushed to try and better ones self at a skill set......
Glad you are OK, A coarse instructor around here would say , there are two types of riders..those that have been down then those that are going down. Nice to see you had proper gear.
How about you post up a actual pic of your rear tire this might help with the debate going on.

I thought you had a full face helmet and gloves given to you?
How many KM's have you yourself put on this bike? Always been there?
What i am getting at is some bike just do put off vibrations...well actually they all do just some bikes are more pronounced and certain riders are bothered more by it.
With that being said is your front tire cupping/scapling?
I put aftermarket shock on my FJR1300, noticed a big difference, but late last year I started watching dave moss videos on setup and now have learned it doesn't have to be harsh to be able to corner..I wish I had aftermarket years ago on the R1 as it makes riding easier. To put in perspective...
It bugs me if this isn't distracted driving then I would like to know what is. He can't even talk while keeping hands on the bars. The video was click bait, I thought just for a seconded the OP was going to show the actual bikes inconsideration of buying..not bla bla bla bla bla
