A lot of people are talking about salt/brine out, do you guys mean highways? I'm at UofT st.george and these past few days I've been taking my bike down through the roads (no highways) and I have yet to see any.
Saw lots of bikes, lots of smiling riders and lots of waving. Glad everyone enjoyed the weather today, hopefully there will be one or two nice days like this left in the year.
I think you were going a lot slower than 40 if an "old lady" was tailgaiting you lol cause they tend to drive like 20 under the limit.
In all seriousness though, just keep doing what you're doing. Go at a pace you're comfortable with and just ignor it, they're not going to do anything anyways...
I think it boils down to peer pressure, if someone isn't good when faced with peer pressure don't go on group rides.
When I was a complete noob earlier this season and went on my first "M1 friendly rides" I was baffled at how fast people were going, on two occasions I just dipped from the group...
Ugh that sucks! I'm so paranoid now, I always check on my bike when I'm at work/school.

I kind of always assumed that a smart criminal would probably be checking these forums/threads non stop. If you tell people what security features you have on your bike and lets say the theives happen to be here reading this, wouldn't they know what to look for if they take your bike?

This looks really cool! I bet it would sound awesome on a helmet! Although, it looks like constantly replacing those sticky pads might become a hassle. Price is more than reasonable though.
