I wear Gearne SG10. Got them before the SG12 existed over 5 years ago. Bottom 2/3rds of the boot is waterproof and the most comfortable I could find.
They have been through hell and there is no sign of diminished comfort or protection. The only repair I've had to make is when I ripped a toe cap...
There is tons of trails/road allowances North and east of pickering. There really isn't anything I can direct you to though. Best bet is to ride North and try some secondary roads. Keep a look out for 'no exit' signs. There is usually a road allowance at the end of them and you can find some...
If it currently has a street plate just walk in and change it over. Don't ask questions at the counter to make them look into it.
My KTM was plated when I bought it a year ago. Walked in with the registration and the cert and walked out with my plate.

The dacre is very tempting but I don't really have a bike for it anymore. I handed the DRZ off to my son last summer and I'd have to spend too much money on the ktm to do it.
Maybe next time.

I've been up the sand hill numerous times on a DRZ. Even when I had my supermoto wheels with crappy kenda 50/50 tires on it.
My 125 blasts up it so a decent 250 4t should have no trouble if the rider is confident.
The quads wrecked thorpes and the ones around the corner. They are all easy as...
Like I said, short list. ;)
It is a good deal. I guess I was hoping for a little more bike. The older Dukes were basically low fendered motards. I was hoping they still were.
I couldn't flatfoot a sportbike to save my life. (Not that it really matters to me. I have a tall seat on my 250.lol) The Duke is small. Distance from seat to bars is short as well as from seat to ground. Felt very beginner bikeish. I was hoping it would be like a motard and have an adjustable...
I looked at/sat on one the other day at GP. Rather disappointed in the suspension, or lack thereof. Kind of uncharacteristic for KTM.
It is actually a rather small bike too. One of the only KTMs I can firmly plant my feet on the ground.
Those aren't as high strung as the race type motors. (ie: 525, 530, etc) More of a dual-sport engine. Definitely not worth the asking price in that ad. I almost bought one brand new in 04 but opted for the Z1000 instead. IIRC it was listed at about $9000 at the time.
I'm not really sure why...
Re: Trail tours GTAM Meet up?.
A trials bike day sounds interesting. I've always been curious and I heard the techniques are a great asset in enduro riding.

I was interested in the ZeroMX and was hoping they'd get around to putting a decent suspension in it. But I guess it is discontinued now.
54hp, 68ft/lbs of torque and 265lbs ready to ride. Would have made an awesome and silent woods play bike that required little maintenance. And a spare...
Re: Trail tours GTAM Meet up?.
TrailTours has their own land they use for training with obstacles and such. It's doubtful they are allowed to take large groups of dirtbikes into the ganny a month before it opens. There is usually still snow in there April 1st.
Either one would be fine. You can get the sm model, pick up some dirt wheels and have the best of both worlds. That's what I did. I eventually sold my sm wheels cause they were collecting dust in the garage.
The drzs wheels bolt right on to the sm. I'm not sure if the wr is the same in that...
Lol, I was hoping you wouldn't take that wrong. I've put my drzsm through its paces. Believe me, I know what it can handle.
The wr only looks updated. It's still the same old vanilla that you'd expect in a Japanese dual sport underneath. I don't know why the Europeans are the only ones to...
