Just down the road from my house - I had ridden through there about a half hour before it happened, and passed by about a half hour later. It was such a gorgeous day to be out riding. In more ways than one, the last ride of the season. So tragic and senseless. RIP

As already stated, being right isn't much good if you're dead. If you're a biker and you're not riding defensively, it's going to catch up with you.

LOL - that's what I was thinking! Had it happen before on a K75 - there was so much urine and poop in there it destroyed the air flow sensor.

Back in the early '90's rode out there from St. Catharines, ON with a buddy - me on my BMW K75C and he on his Suzuki Gs1000. Camped the whole way there and back, including some great overflow campsites, hot springs, and glacier tours in the Rockies. There and back in 11 days. Can you say monkey...

Any concerns about the structural integrity of the head tube after it being cut and welded? I would have.
