Looking for a project sportbike for sale. Now I realize how outlandish my criteria is, but I'd like it to be a track oriented bike with weekend riding possible. Can do a decent amount of engine work myself, bodywork/paint is no issue. Looking to spend no more than $1200, and looking for a...
Alright, well the guy isn't responding because I asked for a video of it running before I drive 300k's, and asked if he'd let me take it to a mechanic since he said "it'll pass a safety". If anyone else wants to go for it, be my guest:

Now back to the original question - since this model was only produced for 1 year, the parts -are- very hard to find, even through extensive searching I still can't find a single fairing kit. Anyone that has one of these, or that knows anyone that does, please let me know!
Edit: By "one of...
I do work on small engines and my father does work on car, motorcycle, boat engines. I want it as a bit of a garage queen - need something to occupy myself on those boring weekends during college. Don't plan on reselling - when the girlfriend wants to get into riding, she can learn on a little...
Does anyone know anywhere that sells parts for these that's not in Japan? The bike was only made for 1 year, so it's pretty slim pickings - can't even find a fairing set. Might need a new carb, not sure if the one from the 86+ would work on it - Want to make sure I can get the parts I would need...
Actually, scratch that, it used quad mikuni 26mm carbs. But the issue with this bike is that it isn't a 1986 FZR250 - it's actually a 1985 FZR250 "Phazer", which was the precursor to the famed FZR250 race bike. I knew something was off!
Was just browsing kijiji and found an NSR250 in Markham, figured I'd share here. Don't sue me if it's not an original or anything, not my bike, just thought someone might be interested to see there's one for sale in the GTA...
Bike could be anything from a 250 virago to a marauder to whatever, just want to get into riding. Have been getting quotes from Paul South @ Surnet, wondering if anyone else would be competitive for my bracket.
I wish I could count that as an option to do as my own, but as is there's no way I could. The chemicals used need to be taken care of and disposed of in a certain way, and I just don't have the means to do that, especially if I'm renting a townhouse.
To the people being snide, I asked for useful input, which you seem fairly incapable of giving. I'd appreciate it if you refrained from wasting your own time as well as others by making a post just to be a troll.
To the people actually helping, thanks. I'm considering all of my options, and I...
Storing is no issue. Plenty of storage where I am with my parents right now, and I'm moving into a townhouse for college. It's a decent sized garage, and if I gave each motorcycle a nice amount of area in it, I could probably store 8 in it. The only issue is I don't want to get screwed over for...
I suppose I'll give an introduction before I get into the serious business here.
My name's Cameron, and I'm an 18 year old soon-to-be college student. Ever since I was little I've been riding dirtbikes and minibikes, driving go-karts and golf carts, and basically just loving anything with an...
Re: Here we go again.. video shows cop shooting guy in the back..
Love how the news has to mention several times in the article that the sheriff was white, like it makes a huge difference. When sheriffs shoot white people, does anyone care about race?
I can only hope that I can afford a beauty like that or a 570S before they're obsolete. As is I can't even afford insurance on a little 125cc motorcycle!
Just to point out the fact that many reviewers say that the McLaren MP4-12C rides as smooth as a Rolls - if I had to pick a supercar/hypercar that I'd drive often, I'd also like it to be comfortable when going through the pothole-ridden streets of downtown TO.
I've done upholstery jobs myself, so that's not an issue - it's just that any damage to the fairings would be brutal, as I'd want the true fairings, not aftermarket, and so I'd have to ship them over. The more I think about this thing, the more I think I may have to pass it up. I'll have to give...
